I wrote a bit about it in the Bears thread, but Todd Monken should really be near the top of every team's HC search. Other than Ben Johnson, I'm not sure there is a better candidate out there.

That 2nd down play was an awful route by Van Jefferson. He was wide open, and then just ran to a defender. If he stops or even runs the route slightly deeper, its an easy 15+ yard gain.

Mike Tomlin is probably Jeff Fisher level. Maybe a tad better or maybe the Steelers just had better players.

Let's not go crazy here... Fisher was incompetent and a cheap shot instructor as a coach. Tomlin's teams always make the playoffs... this team just isn't as good as arguably the best team in the AFC.

I'm just trying to join in ragging on the Steelers.

We (Titans fans) did have several good years under Fisher and a lot of bad ones and a few middling 7-9/8-8 ones. It was even a meme! I feel like the Steelers have been very mediocre and just can't get over the hump per se. In that regard, I do think Fisher and Tomlin are a little alike.
