**Wildcard Sunday - Broncos at Bills**(-9, 47) 1:00 on CBS (2 Viewers)

they did enough to put themselves in position to earn the "gift" of the schedule and KC not having anything to play for.... and a backing themselves into the final slot....they had two opportunities before this game against teams at full strength to clinch a spot and couldn't seal the deal....took having to blowout a teams practice squad....happy for the bronco fans as they will take whatever they can get at this point...will admit Bo was better than I thought....good luck in BUF...

depending on weather and assuming "just cold"....

BUF 27
DEN 17

I like Denver in this one.. Nix is playing so well, and I think Denver D will give Allen issues...

Denver 23, Buffalo 20

I wonder how often a team has beaten the number one seed in each conference. We have not seen what the Bills can do in about a month.

Interesting game here
I think the visitors need a running game to try to limit the home teams possesions
Denver has a solid defense and defense travels but Josh can score on any team
The Bills could control the game with their own running game which is very good
Bills defense may be suspect but it's the playoffs so we'll see
I gotta go with the experience of Allen over the rookie
I think it'll be close but the home team scores late to cover
So...

Buffalo Bills- 27
Denver Broncos- 17

I may have to eat crow Sunday afternoon, but I really don't think this game is going to be a problem for the Bills.

Buffalo - 34
Denver - 17

I am still shocked that Bo Nix has been an efficient NFL QB. Denver has been better than expected as well and even though Buffalo has stumbled a bit down the stretch, this one will not be close.

Buffalo 34, Denver 10

I really don't see the Bills as an elite team. I see them as a bad defense, and a good but not truly elite offense, except when Allen is on fire, which is not every week (not that it is for anyone) so this feels like a pretty 50-50 game to me.

Bills pass D has been a huge issue against any decent offense, and Denver is at least that. I like Courtland Sutton to continue his effectiveness from last week. I also think Denver will be able to run the ball against a very middling run D. My guess is McLaughlin is the main runner this week.

I think Josh Allen will have success on the ground, but could be limited in the air by Denver's high-end pass D. The guy I think who really needs to step up for the Bills this week, is Dalton Kincaid.

I'm tentatively gonna call for the upset here, I think these are 2 evenly matched teams, and I give Denver the HC and K edge.

Other factors:
Allen eats up man defence and also runs a boatload against it. If Denver is getting any pressure at all he will just take off.

The Bills allowed only 14 sacks, the fewest in the league since 2009.

I think the biggest plus for the Bills going into this game is the amount of rest players got last week, and the amount of experience their backups gained last week. All 5 starters on the offensive line didn't play a snap. Cooper, Shakir, Oliver, Jones all sat out. Josh took one snap. Von Miller took 3 snaps, bagged a million bucks, then took a seat. That has to make a difference.

I'm thinking the Bills score the most points of all WC teams this weekend. All three phases of their game score - offense, defense, special teams. Broncos get rocked, head home & lick their wounds, realize they are a young team with playoff experience now heading into '25.

💥💥💥

-I wanted to take Denver and the points in this one, weather is a non factor for Denver so that neutralizes some things that typically point towards Buffalo when they have visitors from warmer parts of the country. You have Denver wining the game, that's a bold prediction.

Bills 27...Broncos 24, I think the game will be closer than some believe and I think Denver could back door cover this even if they fall behind.
Nix isn't going to stop throwing the ball and he has some talent at WR to trade blows with Buffalo if need be

Anyone heard of the Denver Defense? Think they rank fairly high

An under the radar guy for the Bills this year has been Mack Hollins. He’s been a tremendous blocker, made a whole bunch of key plays, and seems like a total glue guy. And he’s so joyously odd. From the never wearing shoes except when playing football, to the really early TD celebrations, to the funny TD celebrations to the game day fits, he’s been an absolute delight.
Excellent sleeper, has playoff experience and Allen might find him handy at times today.
Not a great every week type WR but someone that seems to rise up or pop up on games of this magnitude
Even if he does nothing I like the call/heads up here

This, Vikings/Rams, and Texans/Chargers all feel like evenly matched teams where games are gonna be decided by some luck. We saw that yesterday in Texans/Chargers where 2 passes that are usually completions led to Texans INTs that led to 14 points, and another 3 points on a dubiously overturned INT in the endzone.

Unlike Ravens/Steelers, Eagles/Packers, and Bucs/Commanders all feel like games where one team clearly has more talent, especially the 1st two.

Game probably closer than most think. Denver pass rush will be key imo. Allen probably makes wacky play late for a cover.

DEN- 20
BUF- 30

It's a plausible script here, but these are the type of environments I think Allen turns it up/runs more
