**Wildcard Saturday - Chargers at Texans**(+3, 44.5) 4:30 on CBS (1 Viewer)

Chargers need a legit X WR and a play maker at RB
and a QB
lol, no.

That’s just silly.
Comee on lets be serious, do you think Herbert can lead them to the promise land.. That dude and Lawrence are two guys who really do nothing and people just gush over it.
Yes very much so

He’s worlds better than TLaw, and has played well enough to not deserve this comparison.

You sound like you haven’t watched enough Herbert to form an accurate opinion of him. That’s me being generous.

I think they'll make some kind of splash at RB. They want to be a run 1st team, and that's tough without a better RB. Could be a 1st/2nd round pick, could be a FA or trade, but I doubt it'll be the former Raven duo again.
This is the draft to get a RB.
I love Omarion Hampton (they don't pick high enough for Jeanty), but I certainly see Harbaugh/Roman not wanting to spend a #1 or even #2 on a RB, and signing someone like Najee Harris, and thinking he'll be much better with better blocking.
I would not pass on Hampton or Kaleb for Najee. Give me the cap friendly rookie.

TreVon Henderson would be a nice fit.

Kaleb would be a nice fit. I'm personally not a big fan of either Ohio St guy.

So many going into this game ignored that Houston is one of the best defenses at pressuring the QB. Were #1 at QB pressures near the end of season, not sure if they finished there. Ignored that they've destroyed some great QBs at home (Josh Allen 120 yards passing, Goff 5 turnovers, Tua 4 turners). In fact the only good QB who played well when Houston was at home against them was Lamar who got them on their 3rd game in 10 days, on Christmas.

I'm not saying anyone had to assume this was how it would go. But anyone who didn't think this was solidly in the realm of possibility has been unrealistic about this Texans team.

No they aren't at the level of the Chiefs, Bills or Ravens on a consistent basis, and the offense has a lot of flaws. But there was nothing about this outcome that should have seemed at all surprising. The defense has turned in this kind of performance pretty regularly at home against good competition.

Herbert has no help here. No protection, no game breakers.
Nada.
His first three years he had weapons and no defense. These last two years have been misery.
Add to that his former HC lost several games each year with bad decisions, and allowed the whole team to play sloppily and kill themselves with penalties

Being saying it since last January. People who think McConkey is just some good slot WR are massively underrating him. He's a legit #1 WR. He's a Diggs level talent.
I feel like there's a reason people view him as a slot WR. Can't quite put my finger on it ...

Probably because he's "scrappy".
"gym rat", too
"workmanlike"
Just say white. This is taking forever!

He's fishing you, my man. 99.99999% of NFL minds know what Herbert is. Person from internet who couldn't get a job at Foot Locker isn't part of that 99.99999% and never will be.

Texans D was in fire yesterday! This is what I love about the NFL playoffs!
Credit to HOU as they certainly adjusted soemthing after the first 3 drives, relentless pressure after that.
Chargers O looked shell shocked, and powerless to stop the onslaught of the Texans D. Very impressive. And I ain't gonna lie, I kind of enjoy watching him harbaugh fold up his headset knowing it's over. That guy is kind of a putz.

Texans have a fighting chance vs KC next week, I expect them to be huge underdogs and nobody gives them any chance
The irony of CJS not taking the next step during the regular season but then somehow finding his way in the AFCC if he were to knock off Mahomes and KC
It would be something to discuss in the off season if he pulls off the unthinkable

Stroud is shorthanded with 2 of his starting WRs gone for the season, old man at TE and RB
Nico Collins is his only true weapon, someone at the WR2/3 slots has to make a big appearance vs the Chiefs

Also, the Texans 99 yard touchdown drive was the 3rd time in the last 33 yards that a QB has passed for over 100 yards in a single drive. CJ had 101 passing yards on the drive.
