I have no idea why it was recommended, but the rest of her family needs to get some help to complement what she does.

I think it depends on the kid and the camp.
Some kids respond well to "boot camp style" therapy, where discipline and hard work are the name of the day. But other kids will instantly reject the authority figures.
Some kids respond well to animal-related camps -- taking care of horses, working on a ranch, etc.
Really depends on what your daughter needs and what she's compatible with.
