Will Antonio Brown be suspended? (1 Viewer)

I don't care if a flag was thrown, it seemed accidental or coincidental at worst. No suspension.
Honestly don't know how anyone can see it as accidental from the end zone camera. He moved his leg to the right to hit him in the face, and actually kicked his foot forward to boot.

Suspension worthy, IMHO.

he didn't mean to kick him when he jumped. When he realized he wouldn't make it then he did.
Oh please, he tried to leap over the guy and the guy tried to go low to tackle him. It was purely accidental. It was ridiculous a flag was even thrown. I'd be pissed if he even saw a fine, if he saw a suspension the Steelers should boycott. This isn't Suh it's Antonio Brown, he has zero history of unsportsmanlike conduct. Nothing should really come off this in my opinion.

Should be suspended for the whole year and required to take anger management classes. Classless play.
Too far. There was no original intent here. While I've argued it was suspension worthy, we've all seen far worse get far less than a season.

Oh shutup. He could've moved his foot to the right to get it around the guys head. No suspension.

I thought, and still think, Brown was trying to hurdle over the defender, and didn't get high enough. No suspension, but probably get fined.

Seriously? Had he NOT moved his foot at all it would have gone over the guys right shoulder....just where the rest of his body was headed.

Watch it from the end zone look. It's blatantly clear he moved his leg to the right while in midair...and moving a leg to the side while in midair is NEVER an accident.

If he did it to a quarterback, maybe. But not a kicker. Heck, even kickers don't like kickers.

No way.

Pretty obvious he was trying to kick him in the head.

Should be suspended 2 games and fined, more if Lanning shows signs of a concussion this up coming week.

Should be suspended indefinitely, what was he thinking!
Let's not get carried away.

This was his 1st known offence.

If any news comes out later on after an investigation that he has done this in practice or something I could be on board with 8 games

You can't attack the head. You can't kick someone. He managed to do both on the same play. He's getting suspended

He was thinking he could leap over the guy, and it didn't go as planned.

IDK

Players love to hunt the punter down on returns.

Brown took it 1 step further.

Hopefully when the NFL reviews it, they have the sense to see there was no malice in what happened.

Should get fined, but I don't think it was in his head to boot the guy. Looked to me like he was going to try and hurdle the guy, got caught in the air and reacted.

Had a guy like Brandon Merriweather kicked someone in the face, he might be looking at 8 games.

Brown had no intention of hurting or kicking the punter. It was a failed attempt to hurdle the would be tackler. I imagine it would feel very awkward to realize mid-air at that speed that your hurdle attempt is going to fall dreadfully short. In the process you are aware that your foot is headed for the guy's head/face. Imagine that in that last nanosecond of the moment before impact, your reflexes try to some how avert that imminent kick to the head and in trying to pull it back, you realize it's physically impossible to do so and as such, firm up your leg, making it appear as though you are emphatically trying to kick. Brown is not a dirty player. He is a good guy. No suspension is due and frankly, I can't imagine what rule he broke in getting a flag for unnecessary roughness.

"No intent to hurt him," Brown said. "I had my mind made up that he was going over me. I thought he was going low and I tried to leap over him. It was just a bad outcome of a play."

Brown, who finished with 116 yards and a touchdown on five receptions, could face a fine from the NFL after the league reviews the play.

"We'll see," Brown said when asked if he expects to be fined. "I had no intent of hurting anybody."

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said last week that he would use Brown, a Pro Bowl wide receiver, as a punt returner because he "wouldn't live with my fears."
