Pittsburgh RB Willie Parker(shoulder) did not practice again on Thursday and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting he will miss Week 10 against the Colts. Parker rushed for 71 yards on 21 carries against Washington last Monday night. He scored a touchdown. It was his first game back after missing four straight. Parker apparently hurt himself in the 3rd quarter but didn't feel the resulting pain until the next day. Mewelde Mooreis expected to start in his place.

Not to be rude, but "in danger of missing week 10" and OUT for week 10 are differnt.I would much rather open this thread and look at one post than the "in danger of missing week 10" thread and sort thru the rumors.

Yep that might take 10 seconds out of your day.

Exactly what Jeff said - we do not care if there are more than one thread on the same big-news story.

Marc and Jeff either do we..we also don't run this ..but we all have a right to tell the op that this was indeed posted like 18 hours before he posted it..this way maybe some will learn to read the entire threads of topics.

You have the right to KINDLY point him to the other thread if he wants to join that discussion. There is no call for being rude, which his what this devolved to.Jeff has spoken on this ... it's done.

I for one am happy there is a thread with an updated title. This allows me to know now that he is out as I didn't feel like checking the other thread every 12 hours. Thanks for posting this news.

Thanks for the info now I have to find someone else to play over FWP.

Honda police just stop already. No I don't want to read every thread here and have to search for who posted this news 1st. Like that matters. ;)

Is Willie officially OUT? I don't think he plays regardless, however I think the NFL channel still has him listed as DOUBTFUL. Just curious.

to bring the thread back to the topic of FWP .... what's the opinion of his injury as far as how much time he'll miss and how the injury is going to effect him the rest of the season? Im thinking that i might be able to pickup FWP on the cheap if his owner is thinking that the injury is going to limit him the rest of the way. But the Steelers schecule to a bear, especially come playoff time.

He may be listed as "doubtful" for one reason or another, but I would put a 99.99% probability of him being listed as "inactive" come game day.

I'm hoping the same thing - I have Mewelde and I'm hoping to work a trade with the FWP owner where either I send him Mewelde or he send me Parker. I know his schedule is rough, but with the way Pitt runs the ball, I think any healthy Pitt back will be a really nice RB2/RB flex option.Pitt has a below average fantasy playoff schedule, and their numbers are skewed way down by playing the #1 run defense in week 15, so it is a consideration - but I don't think it should be the overriding consideration.

Just posted in the other Moore thread that the Steelers released Davenport today. So looks like a whole lot of Mewelde against the Colts.
