This freakin' game is unbelievable. I spend probably twice as much time in research, pay web sites, etc. than anyone else in my league. I draft in the 10 spot in a ten team league. I finish the regular season in 1st place with a 10-3 record.

Have a bye the first week of the playoffs but my team actually scores 161 last week. Everything is set up for me to make it to the championship game. Have averaged 130 points per week and only twice scored under 100.

But what happens. Romo and T.O. Welker. Seattle defense. Brody won't throw to Gonzo. Addai. Josh Brown. I score 50 effing points!!! My opponent only scores 100 but I'm not even close.

I've gotta find a new hobby.

Your research and other efforts paid off in getting you to the playoffs, after that it's a coin flip. That's the nature of fantasy. The #1 and #2 seeds in my league led by Romo and Brady destroyed teams all year long and both lost yesterday in the semifinals. Don't get uptight over what you can't control.

Just proves that fantasy football is 100% luck...
I wouldn't say 100% but anybody who denies that luck is major factor in this game is kidding themselves. I'm in the same boat as the OP: won the regular season easily, had the highest total points, put up 100+ points almost every week, and eased into a first round BYE. Then yesterday my stinking team puts up 56 stinking points and my opponent puts up only 59 points. Whine whine whine, I know. Nonetheless it sucks to dominate all season and then put up less than half of your average point total in the second biggest game of the year.

Wrong.Luck is obviously a factor. But the prepared guy is a lot more lucky than the other guys. But please, let's take this to the venting thread. Hang in there Warren. Know that you likely took your team a lot further getting to the playoffs than most other guys in your league given the hand you were dealt. Sometimes you have to look at how you did with what you had.J
