Doesn't quite have the same ring as Tinker to Evers to ChancePick changed from Dickey to Gee.
Good point. And if any point during the season, the play "Dickey to Gee" is actually said, God help the Mets. Things have gotten BAD.Doesn't quite have the same ring as Tinker to Evers to ChancePick changed from Dickey to Gee.
Looked at him way back when I took Reddick. Good pick.22.02 - Jerry Sands OF/1B Los Doyers
I think he's out there, right?
Hoping he'd fall another 2 rounds, but this is about the right slot for him. Nicely done.22.02 - Jerry Sands OF/1B Los Doyers

Interesting. I was thinking that my squad was strongly tilted in favor of offense.Good luck scoring runs.

The way he's going, he can just pick some scrub IFs to stab at sufficient SS at-bats, and then trade some pitching for a legit SS later on.have i missed a pick somewhere, or does SCBF still not have a short stop?
Strongly? You have a very good 1B and very good C. I will give you that.Interesting. I was thinking that my squad was strongly tilted in favor of offense.
I think Francoeur and Avila are big regression risks. Avila had an unsustainably high BABIP in 2011 and Francoeur has been around long enough for me to be suspicious about marked improvement. You'll be OK if these guys stay hot, Duda makes progress against LHP and some young guys take a step up in increased roles. But A. Gonzalez is the only bat you have that has a long-term history of production.Interesting. I was thinking that my squad was strongly tilted in favor of offense.Good luck scoring runs.
Sammy, who punted starting pitching for a long while, is the only offensive-outlying team I see in this thing.
I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out his early picks.Nice formatting. Good luck scoring runs.Trying a new way to post a line-up to date, based on positions of the diamond:

Prado is rock-solid as well -- I don't think his 2011 numbers are his true level (missed time to surgery). His production was consistent the three years prior.I think Francoeur and Avila are big regression risks. Avila had an unsustainably high BABIP in 2011 and Francoeur has been around long enough for me to be suspicious about marked improvement. You'll be OK if these guys stay hot, Duda makes progress against LHP and some young guys take a step up in increased roles. Top three is pretty straight-forward. After that though...I was having a hell of a time trying to figure out his early picks.Nice formatting. Good luck scoring runs.Trying a new way to post a line-up to date, based on positions of the diamond:

Francoeur? If he regresses to his career averages, he should be fine.Avila is still young, and it's hard to know where his true level is. But if he regresses down to, say, 2011 Matt Wieters' or 2011 Carlos Santana's BA/OBP/SLG levels, I'll be satisfied. I can see Avila's HR numbers not standing up because of park effects, though.I think Francoeur and Avila are big regression risks.

Fourth guy was Avila. Spartans took Wieters with the next pick, and said Avila was on his radar. Couldn't have been all that much of a reach.Wanted at least a good-offense catcher. There were nice starting options taken all theway down to round 10, but the offensive numbers dropped like stone after Wieters was taken (excepting probably Yadier Molina if he maintains 2011 levels).Top three is pretty straight-forward. After that though...![]()
Frenchy's career slash line is .270/.313/.433. That's not very good.Avila's 2011 BABIP was .366, which is unsustainably high.Francoeur? Avila was a good pick. He'll regress some, but he could drop 100 points off last year's OPS and you'd still be getting ok value.Fourth guy was Avila. Yeah, Avila was fine in the 4th. He was big for me in this last year. I don't think he regressed THAT much this year, but am expecting some regression. Maybe 40-50 points off his OPS.Fourth guy was Avila. Spartans took Wieters with the next pick, and said Avila was on his radar.
