Unless there's some way of increasing the available AAA player pool, the only workaround would involve some searching around to find players on your roster who are AAA eligible and park them there. This would potentially screw up pre-season sim live and the first league game until people can set their rosters right.I'm having problems setting AAA rules. No matter what I do, the AAA hitters pool of 2012 player doesn't get any bigger than 212 players. Pitchers aren't as bad because there are ~430 of them in the AAA eligible pool. I don't remember this being a problem last year. Anybody got any ideas?Do we have a league # yet?
Any way for us to get a look at the list of 212?Unless there's some way of increasing the available AAA player pool, the only workaround would involve some searching around to find players on your roster who are AAA eligible and park them there. I think I know what's happening.Manually drafted AAA players still have to comply with the AAA rules you set. So if you set AAA to "average" then you can have any hitter below 3mil (approximately) and any pitcher below 1.5mil (approximately).Try setting the AAA to "way above average" and just about everyone should show up.Unless there's some way of increasing the available AAA player pool, the only workaround would involve some searching around to find players on your roster who are AAA eligible and park them there. I wouldn't compare your team to jfranco's necessarily -- his is probably a 110-win squad in this thing. No other team's gonna approach that offense.Right now...

Yea...same thing here. respond larry. jesus ####### christLB44, i sent you an offer that was almost exactly what you've outlined here. If you prefer, i could take out the 1B and put in a 3B (Chipper or Pedro Alvarez).
Right before the trading frenzy, jf's squad had not a one player stuck in the minors (IIRC). Don't think he had anyone injured at the time, either.I've been meaning to post here and ask if he absolutely knew that ALL of his players 26-40 were going to be major-league producers going into the season, or if he feels like he got lucky on a few. Also wanted to ask if he drafted anyone who started the season in real-life AAA.agree. this could very well go down as the greatest team that anyone ever puts together in these things.I wouldn't compare your team to jfranco's necessarily -- his is probably a 110-win squad in this thing. No other team's gonna approach that offense.
Well ... with that much quality concentrated into one squad, the other 23 of us should have something of a free-for-all. Might be easier than ever for a bad team to get into the playoffs now.And then, anything can (and usually does) happen in the playoffs. Yep, that's hope we can all cling to125 win season now

i know, that was a tough break. but it only highlights how good your 2012 is. MUCH better than your 2011 squad, imo.ETA: this is not a complaint. i am very impressed with your skills. My team won like 112 games last year and got bounced in the first round.
GB WIS variance. Although it eventually ran harrier off for good ... such a cruel mistress. My team won like 112 games last year and got bounced in the first round.
I'll let jfranco comment on his own strategy, but he did get lucky. His first 5 picks weren't that special, but he's covering his weaknesses now with the deals he's making. That Larry rape just guaranteed a playoff spot since I thought his SP could have been shaky and more than likely the title since he now has 2 of the 7 best SPs.i know, that was a tough break. but it only highlights how good your 2012 is. Frazier and Pacheco played a lot more than I expected them to play. I figured they would be bench guys. Chris Carter was a total flier who panned out, I believe he was buried at AAA. Ryan Cook was another guy who was a total flier. On the pitching side, I just kept picking guys who looked like they had a shot at a rotation spot in pitchers' parks (SEA, SD, MIN, MIA). I actually expected more from Iwakuma, but he didn't start in the rotation. Noesi was a bust, Bass was good but got hurt, the Twins didn't keep Duensing in the rotation, but all 3 were good enough to flip.Right before the trading frenzy, jf's squad had not a one player stuck in the minors (IIRC). Anyway, he was able to parlay ridiculous depth into significant inprovements to an already good starting lineup. Before the trades, Jfranco was sending guys to AAA that would start or platoon for half the league.
Doubtfulmaybe 1 day I'll get a response from LB

No joy. The 212 hitter pool w/ the "random" setting is the biggest I can get.I think I know what's happening.Manually drafted AAA players still have to comply with the AAA rules you set.
