WIS 2012: Back to the Future II - Draft and Season Thread (1 Viewer)

Hill's D has declined. I think as recently as maybe '09 he won a fielding bible award but he wasn't the same last season, in Toronto anyway... like so many others who look like they're knocking on death's door, he seemed to be rejeuvenated in Arizona.

He went from winning a fielding bible award to being a -3.7UZR as a Blue Jay last season, it was plain to see he wasn't the same player offensively or defensively but like I say, that all changed in Arizona.

This debate about Aaron Hill's glove is fascinating but you're up

Looking at his career fielding stats (RF, RF/9, errors) on B-R he's been pretty consistent. If he drops to a B/B I'll live.

Interesting that Hill isnt in that group given his stellar D.
most likely an error on my part. but i don't like his OBP. plus, don't know as much about him, since he's new to the NL and i play in an NL-only roto league. (I know about Ackley because he grew up a few miles down the road from where i lived last decade.)

8.13. Ryan Howard - 1B
my love/hate with the notion of drafting Ryan Howard today has been like a Ross & Rachel relationship. it went something like this...Me: i don't know about that injuryMe: man, i hope Ryan Howard falls to me. last chance to get a stud hitter who can get a passable defensive gradeMe: yeah, but what about all those strikeouts? and look at his WIS performance history.Me: oh wow, i may have a chance to get Howard here.Me: (after watching the video of him fielding grounders in ST) oh my goodness, that dude looks really out of shape. I gotta bad feeling about this.

I'm gonna bail on Greco after we draft three straight closers but Nolasco and Cum Dempster just went in the 8th round. This is not fun.
