WIS 2012: Back to the Future II - Draft and Season Thread (1 Viewer)

still groveling for warm reliever body for brandon inge - 311 PAs of .226 .286 .389 at 3b. great in the clubhouse, like a kid out there, just having fun, has the keys to the gym, only started playing baseball at 17 since he was a soccer player, his father was a coach.
bump.....i have a couple of offers. still groveling.

They really need to adjust how they do fielding ratings, I got killed at some positions that make no sense. Oh well.

Wow, Miggy got an A-/C- grade at 3B. That's actually not bad (for him anyway)! Trout a vaccum in CF as expected. Montero A+ arm at catcher. Even though he sucks, Yunel Escobar got A/A+ range at SS, so there's that.

Pretty happy here.

6 players with 90+ speed

2 with 80+ speed

at least I can do something well... lol

OK, so I have some offers in my in box, so I'm going to post what I'm looking for in regards to players I'm looking to trade:

John Buck - I'm willing to trade him for a lower PA catcher (I need ~ 100) and an upgrade at P (quality or quantity), 1B, 3B, or OF (I have a ton of good lower PA guys, wouldn't mind having one full time OF I could use)

Starlin Castro/Jed Lowrie - I'd be willing to trade Castro for a part time guy i could pair with Lowrie or trade Lowrie straight up for 1B, 3B, or P upgrades.

Casey McGehee - decent # of backup 1B/3B PAs. Decent glove at 1B/3B and actually qualifies at 2B, too (for the desperate). Same thoughts as other positions. Would like an upgrade at 3B or 1B and am willing to include him in a package.

any of my OF - if I get a 1B (see: Castro, Buck, etc.), I could trade some OF depth for P help. If not, I'd be willing to package some reserve speed CFs with good defense (which describes basically all my OFs who weren't screwed by being defensive replacements late in games) for P or upgrades at other positions. 6 guys with 90+ speed.

Verlander - in order to trade Verlander (my only real shot in this), I'd need AT LEAST 150 IP similar to his quality and another 200 IP that are usable-ish...

McCarthy - really good 111 IP, willing to part with it for more innings that aren't as good to those of you with ridiculous #s of innings.

OK, I think that covers most everything I was getting messages about... I'll try getting back to some people about more specifics today, if not you should have something by tonight.

Need about 400 PA at SS (Thanks Tulo), and either another starter or a couple of relievers. Can offer a catcher (McCann or Pierzynski) and have plenty of corner infielders (D. Wright, B. Butler, C. Davis, E. Chavez, B. Wallace).
Your inbox is full.I'll give you E. Cabrera for E. Chavez.

Larry - less time writing posts in here and more time responding to messages. Its not hard. If someone sends you something you think is unworkable, tell them no. If it is close, counter.

1. Justin Morneau - 1B

My 25 man roster is close to set. So I would be looking for some improvements on my active roster on fantrax. I would be willing to trade an active player with some of the above listed players to improve one spot on my roster. if you are interested in any of these players send me a PM and I will look over your roster and see if I can find something I want.

Trade:Arsenal sends C.C. Sabathia to Scoobus for Blake Beavan, Kyle Kendrick, Chris Johnson
firesale. might have let that one breathe for a few days to let more people consider the opportunity.
Maybe. It's a pretty close trade in terms of wins though, and when you factor in 100 innings of negative win production coming off my roster and 300-400 ABs worth of negative ABs my team comes out pretty far ahead. I'm skeptical I was going to get much more.
yeah, upon further reflection, i was wrong. Kendrick was better than i realized.

i have Brendan Ryan (470 PAs, great defense, bad hitter). Could package with a 3B (Chipper or Pedro Alvarez) for Wright.

Of course Kendrick gave up a million home runs the second I traded for him, but that's sort of par for the course for me this year. Both Kendrick and Beavan rebounded with decent last starts at least.

Batting Totals 6224 5541 206 788 124-30 1144-575 26.9 .271 .342 .447 B/C $46,709,870
Of course, with 1400 IP among my piecemeal staff, I'll have an ERA around 3.90, which will probably suck hard. Typical WIS team of mine: we'll hit, but we can't pitch.

would also consider Pierzynski in a straight up deal for Ryan. Send PM and we can discuss options (your inbox is full).

Agreed...Not much behind them thoughLeft side of the IF range is dog####, otherwise it's a decent defenseI feel like the lineup fits together pretty wellGetting almost 700 good innings from my top 3 pitchers is huge...Overall I can't complain at all And thanks to oso, who, I believe, picked Tazawa for me...He ended up as my closer

Do we have a league # yet?
I'm having problems setting AAA rules. No matter what I do, the AAA hitters pool of 2012 player doesn't get any bigger than 212 players. Pitchers aren't as bad because there are ~430 of them in the AAA eligible pool. I don't remember this being a problem last year. Anybody got any ideas?
