Pretty sure I've stunk his up in true Greco fashion.

In retrospect, Hoos picked a particularly bad time to go AWOL. He picked Adam Laroche at 14.03 which was redundant with his earlier selection of David Ortiz. He then missed rounds 14-19 when most teams were filling out their starters. By the time we started making community picks at 19.22, the pool was a lot shallower at the positions where he still needed help. Fortunately, he drafted five SPs before leaving. Everybody's bullpen will be a bit of a crapshoot so he might not be that badly off there.ETA: TU's extended absence may turn out to be equally costly.

FYI for Sammy/Sparty

Manager Eric Wedge announced Tuesday that Ryan will be the Mariners' Opening Day shortstop, moving Jack Wilson to second base, the Seattle Times reports.

Good to know as I was considering drafting another potential SS.Brendan Ryan vs. Yuniesky Betancourt for my SS job... the race to a .650 OPS is on!

The downside is I now have no backup 2B and there aren't any left I want (or are even sure bets to make an Opening Day roster).Here's to Pedroia getting 700 PA again.

he's supposed to play some Catcher, and might get some play at 1B, too...

FWIW, Posada has not caught a single inning in a ST game this year. Will he catch this year? Maybe a few innings. Pretty much a guaranteed worst defensive rating for him.
