What are the odds that someone that DOES NOT get drafted in this thing ends up having a nice real-life MLB season? The kind of season that would be sim-startable at his position?

Any real-life cases in the past of a guy starting the season in AA (or even A ball), getting called up quickly, and then ending up with a strong 450+ AB/120+ IP season?

slim to none...I think pretty much all the guys that could rake up 450 ABs are pretty much gone.there will be RPs that aren't drafted that are usable.

I don't think Chris Coghlan would have been on anyone's pre-season radar two years ago. Sickels had him rated as a B- prospect entering that season. The Marlins called Coghlan up in early May 2009 and he put up over 550 PAs worth of 122 OPS+ production. It's not that common since much more information is available about prospects these days, but it's not impossible.Casey McGehee is another example from the same year.

I guess....there are still a couple of guys out there that I think may surprise this year if given the chance. I definitely think there will be both non drafted SP/RPs. Hitters are tougher since they need both hitting and defense.

At this point with about 4 rounds to go, I have about 3-4 guys who could still turn into serviceable starters on my list. And I am sure there are about 10-12 more prospects who could do the same. And I also think there will be at least 2-3 guys on the offensive side who don't get drafted at all that will be startable. On the pitching side, I am sure there will be at least 5-7 guys that are undrafted who put up starter-worthy numbers, and probably 10+ relievers.

31.17 - Bogart - Endy Chavez - OF

I'm trusting Borbon right now about as much as I trust Hamilton in a Chili's bar with a group of college coeds and a can of Reddi Whip.

FWIW, here are the spring lines for the catchers still on the Rockies active roster:

Iannetta 26 AB .213/.432/.346 1 HR

Pacheco 28 AB .286/.355/.464 1 HR

Morales 17 AB .353/.500/.471 0 HR

Iannetta is a lock to be the everyday starter, and it will be the first time he hasn't had an established back-up or competitor on the team (Torreabla and Olivo). It's going to be interesting to see what happens if he really struggles again early. In all likelihood Pacheco is going to go back down. The Rockies love his bat, and with Rosario only a year or two out I think they want to give Pacheco some time at 1st and 3rd.

If Morales hits like he did two years ago his bat could play pretty well at Coors - line drive hitter into an outfield with big gaps.

32.06 Welington Castillo, C

Expect him to the be the starter if Soto missed a chunk of time. In other Cubs news, Darwin Barney may have won the 2nd base job.

32.01 - Steve Pearce, TURD PIT

Might play a little 1B and OF...even played some 3B this spring. He's in a battle with several other turds for a role on the Buccos.

Same Friday time slots as Thursday. I just got home, my flight from IAD got delayed and the Badgers didn't show up for 35 minutes. I'll update the OP when I wake up.

Let's finish this draft up and do some Sim Live in October
