for perspective, i looked up MLB batter stats. There are currently 23 batters with an OPS < 650, and with enough plate appearances to qualify for awards (which looks to be around 300 PAs).
among batters with at least 75 PAs, there are about 75 with an OPS < 600, and about 135 with an OPS < 650.

We've only allowed combined season stats dating back to WIS #1. You can choose the league with the better normalized numbers but you need to use the full year.

oh, i'd love to trade for a 2b/3b guy or i may need to forfeit some games.

I should have some terrible hitting performance PA's available at 2B with Tolbert and Rhymes combining for over 240 PA's and Tolbert did play a little 3B. I need probably 100 or so catcher PA's and SP innings. I might have to let go of Posey, Davis, and Craig's good numbers with low PA's in order to reach my minimums.

My hitting is in way better shape than my pitching so if anyone is interested in a trade let me know. LHP, RHP, SP, RP... honestly, I need help everywhere.
Specifically, I will have lots of extra 3rd/4th OF types with decent stats. Ankiel for CF, Reimold for OF. Depending how things shake out, I could also move guys like BJ Upton, Kyle Blanks, Laporta, Russell Martin for the right price. I also have some extra ABs at SS on the way with Renteria playing every day. Hannahan has lots of available games at 3b with presumably great D, but his offensive numbers are pretty bad.

It's been a roller coaster for my team. Dexter Fowler was good, then bad, then sent down. Then called up and good, then bad again. Jose Bautista has been a lot more mortal in the 2nd half, but he got the time at 3B that I really needed him to get. Phil Humber was a Cy Young candidate and then cooled off. Then he took a line drive off the face. Matt Joyce and Gaby Sanchez put up all-star first halves and cooled off. Reid Brignac can't hold a job at shortstop. Ivan Nova has actually been good lately. Brett Anderson had TJ surgery. Chris Sale was a gascan and now he's a shutdown reliever. Here's where we're at right now.
Catcher - grade B-
C Santana - 506pa 242/350/446 - isn't ever going to get his average up, but has 19 HRs.
F Cervelli - 112pa 260/324/330 - good backup or possible trade bait
R Chirinos - 60pa 218/283/309 - well, he did get called up, but he didn't hit
J Montero - N/A so far, may not get any time at C if he is called up in September
First Base - Grade B
G Sanchez - 527pa 265/344/428 - likely will be my starter
A Lind - 432pa 263/308/460 - what a great OBP :( Still, 22 HRs makes him trade bait
M Trumbo - 451pa 260/297/487 - a right-handed Lind, sub-300 OBP and 23 HRs. Could possibly start in RF.

B Zobrist - 536pa 286/375/498 - 15 HR, 15 SB, lots of doubles and hopefully a good glove

J Bautista - 505pa 318/459/625 - should win the AL MVP. Glove won't be great but should be OK at 3B

Short version for now.
Offense - Helton & Davis, McCutchen, and Ellsbury provide me with a strong nucleus that will trouble any team at the top of the order. Ellsbury transforming into my cleanup hitter is nice. After that, Hunter's big second half should give me three more solid hitters along with Castro and Barney. After that, I have the mash units at 3B and C with Rolen/Uribe and Whiteside/Posey combining for two sorry hitters. I will spring live sim Posey on those individuals I don't care to much for. Allen Craig will see those owners as well with a still impressing 890 OPS (144 PA's) that should play okay in the corner OF spots and possibly 2B. I have a whole lot of sorry on the bench.
Defense - This should be fine outside of the obscene amount of errors by Castro and McCutchen. Castro in particular will make me very sim angry.

Relief Pitching - A formidable foursome is forming in lefties Marshall and Oliver combining with righties Adams and Gregerson. They carry K/BB ratios of 4.54, 4.00, 5.02, and 2.14 to go along with respective HR rates of 0.15, 0.67, 0.62, and 0.39. We should do well in game we are leading after 6 if that ever happens.

I probably can't trade anything playable in return so not really. We are looking at Matt Tolbert, Shelley Duncan, Will Rhymes, or possibly if I don't need David Murphy's 300+ PA's.My only really valuable trading pieces since I can't get rid of any pitching whatsoever would be Allen Craig's high OPS/PH PA's but I want to keep him if possible, if I can get replacement 1B PA's plus another need in return for Ike Davis's 149 PA's, or if I get a catcher with 300+ usable PA's in exchange for Posey's 185.

I need the same thing. I have been reasearching everyone's teams, and don't see much in the way of palatable trades. There are some undrafted guys that could fill in ... but I assume we're not going to have a mop-up draft at any point? Right?
I just might go with the George-Bell strategy of having someone play C disasterously out of position for 50 starts or so. Maybe it can be done strategically - against bad opponents or against bad starting pitchers, so that the damage is minimized. ...Wasn't there a scheme thrown around to use WIS minor leaguers in this rendition?
