Very disappointed in their fantasy presentation...I love the site and think it provides a ton of great info on all the teams, but the following surprised me:

SCORING SYSTEM

KEEP IT SIMPLE. NCAA stats are always sketchy at best, and if you're planning on finding the totals from a backup Eastern Michigan RB, you’ll need to make it as basic as possible. If you want to throw yards into the mix, here's the Collegefootballnews.com Scoring System, which you can use as the official source to base your league:

Passing: Once again, keep it as easy as possible. Don’t add in interceptions and don't get too screwy with other odd pass ratings. Running QBs can be a nightmare to score.

- 3 points per touchdown pass.

- 1 point for every 50 yards passing.

- 1 point for every two-point-conversion pass.

Rushing: (keep in mind this applies to QBs and WRs too)

- 6 points for TD

- 3 points for every 50 yards rushing

- 2 points for every two-point-conversion

Receiving: (keep in mind this applies to RBs too)

- 6 points per TD

Quinn and Harrell in the '2nd tier' of QB's is just dumb. And having Johnson at #2 while admitting that he may not even be the starter?!?!?! WTF as the kids like to say.

Who scores a fantasy league like that anyways? In the past years, I thought their fantasy rankings were pretty decent. This year, they look awful.

Hello to everyone - there is a mix of old and possible new commissioners in this email, but hopefully everyone has a basic understanding of the web site and how it works, and this email will make sense.I'm making a few changes to the site this year and for the most part, these changes have to do with making things a little bit easier to manage on my end. First off, here are the list of stat categories that will be available. Some from last season have been removed:INDIVIDUALRushing - attempts, yards, TDs, TDs over 50Receiving - catches, yards, TDs, TDs over 50Passing - completions, attempts, TDs, TDs over 50Returns - TDs, TDs over 502 pt conversions - rushing, receiving, passingPK - extra points, FG 0-19, 20-29, 30-39,...50-59, 60+, total FG yardsDEFENSEReturns - TDs, TDs over 50 (includes kick returns, INT/Fumble returns, etc)InterceptionsSacksFumble recoveriesSafetiesPoints Against - OVERALL ONLY - (offense only not included)You can make combinations of the above, such as rushing + receiving yards. When I drafted him, I thought having HR dimensions of 0, -1 would be enough to counter the occasional HR. Perhaps if I can put a fence around, say, Rhode Island next time and call it my park I'll draft Juan again.

I know I was in the bottom 12, not sure where, but 18 sounds about right. BTW I think low BB/9 pitchers this time were entirely overrated.

I would say experience played a big part in it, although I was awfully surprised how well most of you did last year considering most hadn't ever played in a college league. Prior to this league last year, I think I had played college fantasy football for 4 years. I would say that's quite a bit more experience than most had. Other than that, I hit on a few of my sleepers (missed on a bunch as well) and had some help from the WW.

HR numbers are all over the map for me. My home park is -2, -2, so I felt more comfortable taking guys with some HRs allowed. But here are my stats so farRuss Ford '10, RL HR/9+=96, Sim HR Allowed 10

The only suggestion I would make is to make TOs 2 pts instead of 3, now thast we have sacks in there...Not a huge thing, but throwing it out there...

Also, what about the whole double dipping on Special Teams TDs?

Personally I think that if I draft Desmond Howard and the Michigan D/ST, both should get 6 points for a return TD...I drafted both for a reason...

Agreed. By just about all of us. I had a few high BB/9 guys and was worried about them big time... they have faired ok. Meanwhile, my deadballers who are at 1.5BB/9 in real life are still giving up a ton of walks. In a live game a few days back, Pete Alexander walked 4 guys in a row.

Agreed. By just about all of us. I had a few high BB/9 guys and was worried about them big time... they have faired ok. Meanwhile, my deadballers who are at 1.5BB/9 in real life are still giving up a ton of walks. In a live game a few days back, Pete Alexander walked 4 guys in a row.

Personally I think that if I draft Desmond Howard and the Michigan D/ST, both should get 6 points for a return TD...I drafted both for a reason...

This is the way it was scored last season and will be scored this season.If you have Desmond Howard... you get 6 pts for a ST TD.

If you have the Michigan DEF/ST... you get 6 pts for a ST TD.

That's why I list SPECIAL TEAMS TD as its own seperate scoring category.

Not a huge thing, but throwing it out there...

The only problem I have with this is that a turnover is more valuable than a sack. I'd be open to TO's being worth 2 and sacks being worth 1 if you guys think there are too many points to be had in defense, but I really think the TO should hold more weight than the sack.
