Hello to everyone - there is a mix of old and possible new commissioners in this email, but hopefully everyone has a basic understanding of the web site and how it works, and this email will make sense.I'm making a few changes to the site this year and for the most part, these changes have to do with making things a little bit easier to manage on my end. First off, here are the list of stat categories that will be available. Some from last season have been removed:INDIVIDUALRushing - attempts, yards, TDs, TDs over 50Receiving - catches, yards, TDs, TDs over 50Passing - completions, attempts, TDs, TDs over 50Returns - TDs, TDs over 502 pt conversions - rushing, receiving, passingPK - extra points, FG 0-19, 20-29, 30-39,...50-59, 60+, total FG yardsDEFENSEReturns - TDs, TDs over 50 (includes kick returns, INT/Fumble returns, etc)InterceptionsSacksFumble recoveriesSafetiesPoints Against - OVERALL ONLY - (offense only not included)You can make combinations of the above, such as rushing + receiving yards. A few items have been left off from last year - again, to make things a little easier. There should be a "Commissioner Override" function - where you can add/subtract from a score if you want to change it because of stats not supported above. All 119 Division I-A teams will be available, and you may use any combination of them. There will be the ability to set a tie-breaker player in your lineup (this will be a player who is NOT starting).Last year a big headache from my side of things came with the combining of weeks. I ended up splitting the site into seven different sites, which was a maintenance nightmare. This year, the NCAA goes to 12 games on a permanent basis, and I have decided that I will not allow combining weeks anymore. Weeks will begin on Thursday and end on Wednesday (see ESPN.com schedule). Week #14 is the Dec 2nd games. Week #15 will include all bowl games, if you wish to play that week. It is easy enough to skip weeks for your league, but for my sanity, I can't split them up anymore. I hope this doesn't throw anyone a curve, but it's just too difficult to manage.Pricing - see www.goallinesoftware.com for pricing, but by now, you know that is for entering your own stats - which I think worked pretty well last season. I investigated an option to have the stats automatically entered for 2006, but I was not comfortable with the set-up. I will, however, give you the option for having stats for your league entered for you. That option will be $8.00 per fantasy team (free agent stats still not supported). So, let me know if you have any questions, if you'll be returning, etc. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Hope to hear from everyone soon!DaveEmail: goalline@goallinesoftware.comWeb: www.goallinesoftware.com
