I wanted Willie :sadbanana:  The first couple world series I remember watching were 84 and 85. Willie raked in that 85 post season, led to me collecting his baseball cards.
i had willie just behind butler due to OBP.  also, shea has real grass.

I think I had this exact team at in one of these Sims with Ozzie, Wilson, and Otis and their A/A+ ranges in the Astrodome (I think I had Dodger stadium when I did it last time).

It's a <bad> strategy :bag:
Mets deal Amos Otis + to Royals for Joe Foy.  Almost Ryan for Fregosiesque.

We've seen runs before (and shtickingly have called them a million other times), but we've seen a 13 person pitcher run, and we are currently on ANOTHER 6 pitcher run.   19 out of the last 22 picks have been pitchers.

Wow. (there are actually a few decent options still available even, though we are getting close to a point of tempered expectations unless you get lucky with a roll)

I will be rooting for a 3 this round. Not only one of the best hitters left, but incredibly consistent:

Fred McGriff, 1B, 1992-1990-1989

Halfway through round 4 I think I've finally got a rating system that is reasonable. Better for pitchers than hitters, and they're on different scales so I don't know how to compare pitchers vs. hitters. But it's something.

Was looking to go another direction (and yes, even thought about another starter), but there's been a mini run and this guy has been at the top of my CF list for a bit.

Chet Lemon CF - working on years, some debate there.

I was real close to picking him. In my deep dive I was trying to figure out why his RC27s were lower than I thought they'd be and I think it's because he's the world's worst base stealer - 43% career success rate despite being pretty fast.

Still a really good pick though.

Wow!  Yeah, I'll have him set to DON'T ####### STEAL. So never figured into my calculations.

Ironically, looks like I will leave off his highest or second highest salary season. Debate between a few more errors to get a higher OBP, as just about everything else is equal.

Tudor and Eckersley were the big dice roll winners in round 3 but Guerrero's not far behind. 82 and 87 were nice hitting seasons with gross defense. 85 is an even better offensive year and you get A range at 3rd.
I'm curious how Eck's 1977 SP season would have played out in this format.  The homers would be a problem but might not get punished as badly by the offenses he'd face.  1.08 normalized WHIP is much better than either pitcher I've drafted. :bag:

Yes almost put that season as my #2

I rolled another two so we'll have a two hour clock starting on Monday.

Clock runs from 10AM-8PM Eastern.  As usual, if you're on the clock at 8PM you can still be skipped that night.
