With Cambell starting whos better? MOSS? COOLEY? (1 Viewer)

I think Campbell will be less prone to making the "safe" pass and taking some chances, mainly because he just doesn't know any better. That's what the Skins passing game needed anyway. Brunell was far too conservative with the ball as evident by the pass to the RB in the flat on every single 3rd down. Campbell will get his lumps, but I think he, as did Ramsey, will throw it long and give the Skins WRs a chance to make plays down the field. Of course conventional wisdom will say a young QB always looks to the TE as a security blanket so what do I know. I did stay in a Farfield Inn last night.

I remember watching some of the Skins pre-season games, and he an Moss seemed to have some chemistry. Moss is now the best player on their team with Portis out.

My thought is that Cooley and Betts will gain from this. It seems like young QBs usually panic and throw to thier checkdown receivers alot.

Speaking only for this year:

Upgrades:

Lloyd

Uncertain:

Cooley

Randle El

Betts (ignoring that Portis is out)

Moss

Honestly, I really can't think of anyone to downgrade. Moss and Randle El can do no worse than they're presently doing, and frankly Lloyd as the deep route runner can only benefit from Campbell's big arm.

As I don't know to what extent that Campbell will utilize Cooley, I don't know what will happen there, but I doubt he'll drop - he wasn't lighting the world on fire to date anyway, but he also wasn't putting up zeros either.

Ditto Betts as it's tough to tell how much of his and Portis' catches were Brunell failing to find an open receiver downfield, or were by design - Saunders after all does use a lot of passes to his RB's as part of his offense.
