100% confident in Mueller's competence and integrity. The investigation is moving along with few leaks and assembling facts in a short time. The accusations of bias or whatever today's fairy tale is, nothing I've seen warrants much discussion.
I'm not concerned about how much is directly tied to Trump. I believe he's guilty in all the ways that are already obvious, and then there are things that would make us all sick that will never be proven - the people he's destroyed along the way, the theft, the graft, the mob ties, the endless abuse and manipulation of women including sexual assault, obviously this is who the man is. Whatever.
I think Mueller could find lots of the above and more, and it doesn't matter. The tax returns will come out and they'll be unbelievably damning, and there will be another distraction and nothing will come of it.
Most important part of this by far is exposing Russia's full reach into our democratic norms and elections -- the media & social media operation, kompromat, who exactly was squeezed and why they were vulnerable, were any specific counties/districts hacked and how did they do it. The real nuts & bolts of Russian interference, the impact to date, and the potential impact if we do nothing.
These things are important on the off chance that another president eventually succeeds Trump who doesn't share his last name, and better yet, is not a psychopath and is a patriot (the old kind of patriot, the ones who understood the constitution, 1st amendment, rule of law, etc.). Hopefully this person will take Mueller's findings seriously and make election security a priority. That is most definitely not happening today, for reasons that are obvious. It's the only thing that honestly frightens me about any of this, the thought of an election that is perceived to have no legitimacy and where we go from there. We are headed in that direction more quickly than anyone can perceive right now, in my opinion.
But I don't know why people seriously talk about impeachment. Democrats don't reach 2/3 of the senate no matter what happens in 2018. He's holding the GOP hostage unless there's another major crash, we get it. He won't get within 10 votes of removal if there's video of him raping Camille Paglia.
I also don't think Trump "firing Mueller" is worth a lot of discussion. It may as well have already happened and nothing would feel different. Maybe it will be fun to predict how many people he has to fire in the DOJ to finally get rid of Mueller. If you're pinning your hopes on this batch of GOP turds to hold him in check, I think you're clueless.
