Which two should I cut? 16 teams, defensive scoring stresses tackles not sacks ...

Taylor, Chris Hou RB

Hackett, D.J. SEA WR

Hass, Mike NOS WR

Alston, Jon STL LB

Brown, C.C. HOU S

Smith, Eric NYJ S

Ryan Fitzpatrick, STL QB

I am leaning towards E. Smith and Fitzpatrick or Hass. Thanks!

I'm not real sure about this but I thought I read somewhere that Jon Alston was cut? I see FBG still has him on the roster - one of my leagues in MFL has him listed as a F/A?I wouldn't dump Smith yet. Mike Hass - haven't heard much about him at all and there is a crowd at WR - he may get cut yet. I'm watching as I have him on my taxi as well. So my leanings would be Alston if he was cut and Fitz or Hass.

Alston the Washington lineman was cut and MFL got it confused and shows Alston w/ St L. as a FA (but he is not) ...I agree Hass may get caught up in a numbers game and go to the Saints PS ...

thanks for clearing up the Alston question!

I talked to a few of my friends who have been regularly attending Saints training camp. They were very impressed with the hands of Haas. They said that he was catching everything and had the best hands on the team. I'm guessing his speed isn't very fast.

Practice Squad maybe?

That's what I heard before the Stallworth trade. I think he has a 50-50 shot of making the active roster now. I wouldn't cut him before most of the names on that list, practice squad or not. I'd hang on to Alston too. DBs are easy to replace. I'd probably broom Hackett and Brown.

E Smith is as of now, and will remain (barring injury) the #3 safety on the Jets, and is pushing Coleman hard for the starting SS spot already. I think it would be a real mistake to cut him. If you did that in a league of mine, I'd be on him like white on rice. He is also not only a Mangini draft pick, but one of his personal favorites... not real fast, but a big hitter, very good in the box. If either Rhodes or Coleman go down.... he's the starter, that is if he doesn't manage to unseat Coleman in the first place.

Don't know much about CC Brown, but it's hard to imagine keeping himover Smith.
