Little known fact: Herm Edwards was an assistant coach with the Falcons and gave the pre-game speech several years ago before the first game. The same game Jamal Anderson - who had had a stellar campaign the year before, tore up his knee.Herm also spoke privately with Mike Tyson before the Buster Douglas fight.And one other tidbit: the last names of the two ground crew members on Amelia Earhart's last flight were George Herman Jack Edwards. I'm dropping LJ and picking up Jesse Chatman.

In this case, you have an odd situation. If I understand it, you have Shaun Alexander, Laurence Maroney AND Larry Johnson. I would almost always suggest you start LJ, even given Edwards' comments. But when you have those two options, I could make the case for resting LJ this one week and playing SAlex and Maroney.

I wouldn't personally do it (I would sit SAlex), but this isn't really a case of you wanting to start a scrub in place of a stud.
