That's a good question ... Basically I am looking to just have a 2nd (seperate) spot to store and organize my downloaded media.Now that I've got a 30gb video iPod, I've found my current HD a mess.I was hoping to get a 2nd HD to store all the music and video stuff. Not sure on the connection - I've got a standard Dell desktop. This is what is currently in it.- 40GB Ultra ATA/100 Hard Drive (7200RPM) Is my better option just to upgrade that? Or add a 2nd hard drive?

Great budget card is the Turtle Beach Riviera for around $24 on the Egg. I have 2. I never saw the need for a high end card.
