This problem comes up all the time during woot off's. You'd think, with all the money they are pulling in here ( :sarcasm: ), they'd take a moment and do something about an upgrade.

It's Not Leaky Being Green

Water, water everywhere, and all the drywall did rot. Most of us detect household leaks by blindly blundering into a puddle in our clean socks. Only after we yank the soppy things off and throw them in the hamper, cursing all the while, do we realize the potentially expensive, foul-smelling damage that this unwanted fluid has been silently inflicting on our real estate.

Oh, if only we’d had the foresight to invest in some little plastic frogs! A few strategically deployed LeakFrogs would have made all the difference, posted in problem areas like next to the water heater or under your indoor waterfall. At the first sign of dampness, the LeakFrog sounds the alarm, alerting you to the fiendish presence of the dastardly villain H2O. And even when you’re tearing your hair out from visions of spreading mold and skyrocketing insurance, it never loses its chipper smile.

Features:

* Scratch resistant plastic housing - lasts for years

* For wood, carpet, tile, metal, concrete surfaces

* Test button

* Floats on deep puddles

* Runs on 3 AAA batteries

* Water as shallow as 1/32" will trigger the LeakFrog's alarm

* Emits a loud alarm when water is detected

* Alarm duration: 48 hours (or until turned off by user)

Did you know:

* 40% of all property damage is caused by water

* 70% of toxic mold is caused by water leaks and plumbing failures

* 1 of 3 insurance claims is for water damage

* 63% of all statistics are made up on the spot (not these, of course)

LeakFrog can detect water leaks from any water source:

* Toilets

* Tubs

* Sinks

* Dishwashers

* Refrigerators

* A/C Drip Pans

* Wet Bars

* Hot Tubs

* Washing Machines

* Your drunk college buddy, Flounder

Hey Coop - I have your HDD - 160 GB for $50. It is SATA, so we would have to know if you computer can support it, though.

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_in...;ref=performics

This will sell out so get it early. It is a Samsung.

If not that one, then here is one at CC for $40 after a big MIR:

How do I know if I am a "SATA" ... ???I'll be home in an hour and can check ...
SATA = Serial ATA connection. Many computers in the last 2 years support both IDE/ATA and SATA HDD connections.
