This is exactly why I don't have a favorite starting word, and why I don't try to lead off with a "optimal" two-word combo or anything like that.  I like being free to make weird guesses that will probably result in a bunch of nothing but that might catch lightning in a bottle.  I was on the winning side of that approach yesterday.  Enjoy the warm glow of victory!

No shame in taking a five today. That was tough.

found WORDLE and QUORDLE very tough today. Got Wordle on last guess.  had 3 guesses remaining in Quordle with 3 words to get and got all 3.  Then had one of my better Octordle's getting all 8 in 11 guesses with only 1 time warning. (That's good for me, don't judge )
