It took me about double that haha.  I'm ashamed to admit I was stuck for at least a minute trying to think of a word between ... well I won't post them here but I'm pretty sure I narrowed it down to the word right before and right after the target word in the dictionary.

It took me about double that haha.  I'm ashamed to admit I was stuck for at least a minute trying to think of a word between ... well I won't post them here but I'm pretty sure I narrowed it down to the word right before and right after the target word in the dictionary. 

just tried this Guess My Word today.  Not bad, but can be frustrating. 

I don't get why we don't discuss the word of the day or our prior guesses.  Just posting scores seems like it misses half of the fun.  Is anyone coming to this thread first before playing Wordle?

Personally I think it would be fine to discuss the Wordle word of the day.  I didn't want to post the Guess My Word answer since many here may never have tried it.

Do they make a version of heardle for old people like you and me? 

They need to. The one that was Fleetwood Mac was the first one I tried. Since then it’s been all Kanye and Keshia or something. I did recognize yesterdays but couldn’t place it. They need a 50-60-70-80 group.

Wordle runs off your system clock, I'm in the UK, it was Friday when I posted. I assumed it also ran off UTC, but it clearly ignores time and just looks at the date, which explains how a friend from Indonesia did basically the same thing as I did hours before

Almost happened to me, but my 3rd guess was the right one. It's rough when you end up in that spot, with more potential solutions than guesses.

You could use that 4th guess to try and find a word that covers several of the options for the first letter. Not sure if it would work well though, you'd have to cover at least 3 options to make it worthwhile as a guess.

There were a lot of possibilities for the third word. I guessed right.
