I came up with zero words for my fourth guess. I figured the third letter had to be a d, but couldn't make a word out of it. I tried a first letter that sounded like it might make a word, expecting it to get rejected as a guess, but it counted. Did the same on my fifth guess and got the answer.

I’ve switched from a three consonant starting word to a four consonant word (currently using SLANT). Especially in hard mode, I think I’m better off eliminating consonants early to avoid those many option traps as much as possible. It’s pretty easy to fill in some vowels as I go.
