Wordle (2 Viewers)

I've found starting with vowels-heavy words helps uncover the structure quickly. What's everyone's favorite starting word, and how do you adapt your strategy based on the initial feedback?

I always start with arise. If nothing hits, I play an ou word, usually mount. If one vowel hits on arise and it doesn’t look to be the first or last letter, my second guess is usually consonant heavy with just that one vowel. Always play on hard mode.

I like to use a different starting word everyday. Just makes it more of a challenge for me. I’ll typically play it Wheel of Fortune style, with more common consonants and try to hit two vowels, but some days I mix it up with 1 vowel, or try to catch a less common letter like Y or V.

ETA: I used to use Audio or Radio as a starting word, because that would take care of the vowel issue for the most part.

LEAST is my go to, frequent vowels and consonants. Stolen from Wheel of Fortune’s β€œR S T L N E” thinking.

Then few to no hits I’m going after O an U , round, mound, or pound for example.

I was stead until it hit, now I am rode or die with stare.

If that’s a blank or I just get one consonant hit, I look at things like -ound, -ough, -ouch patterns.

I usually change it up, use whatever word is on my mind. I was usually using WOMAN for a while but that hit when I didn’t use it. WOMEN hasn’t hit yet but today I used LEAST. ADIEU hasn’t hit yet which would be a strong starting word.
