Where can i find the worst prinbtable online rankings? As the commish of my league, i'm supposed to provide a list for everyone in the league in case someone didnt do their homework. i'm nbot sharing all my hard work! So i'm looking for some bad stats to punish people for not coming prepared. Help me out.

First off, I don't see why you have to give everyone a cheatsheet. However, if you do, please feel free to PM me and I'll e-mail you the one I'm going to hand out to everyone at my draft. It's from a 1998 Fantasy Football Magazine. I like to try and help the boys out, if I can.

Okay, you have my attention. Why are you supposed to do this?

Why not just either create a realistic looking FF logo or "borrow" one from the web, and use a spreadsheet to create some custom-made horrible rankings? Print out, photocopy, and there ya go. Toss in a few decent/expected rankings to keep things looking good (Manning as #1 QB, etc.).

I guess I just don't understand why it is on you to help these guys.

I'm in one of these leagues...several owners who really don't care, but play for the social aspect of the game.

Every year, we share the sportsline rankings with them. They are pretty bad. That league is hosted at sportsline though, so I'm not sure the info is available to everyone.

Can just use a fbg one from May or the magazine.

Just as good/bad as any other outdated cheetsheet.

Why search when you are already here?

I always buy at least one magazine each year just for reading material and I put them out for the other owners at the following year's draft

I'm curious, FBG staff. How many major / semi-major FF sites are out there you think? You know, that would be listed in link collections fairly frequently that they'd look semi-reputable enough? One thing I frequently do with owners in my main money (read cuthroat) league is use information to sway them one way or another in trades. If there were 100 or so websites that I was talking about I wouldn't feel guilty quoting from one of the bottom 5 to swing a deal in my favor. For instance, we had a relative fantasy virgin take over one of the teams in the league when an owner left. Last year, when Santana Moss had that huge game early in the season that was really made up of two huge touchdown catches in the last 5 min or so of the game to help the Redskins to an unbelievable win I noticed on our host site, CBS Sportsline, that they remarked he was really lucky to get those catches and not to expect it to happen again. Basically, I read it and thought if the newbie read it he might think he had a classic "sell high" prospect he needed to unload in a hurry. Then I sweet talked him into thinking Brandon Loyd was the second coming of Fred Biletnikoff. I even threw in a line how he had an unbelievable future (it's a large keeper, semi dynasty league) because he had a "future franchise - HOF QB" who would be delivering him the ball for the next 8 years, Alex Smith, the #1 pick in the draft. Whereas Santana Moss had a dinosaur in Mark Brunell.

If I could please have your bottom 5 websites to refer competition to please :stirspot: :stirspot: :clyde:

TE Rankings

1.) Alex Smith, SF

QB Rankings

1.) Alex Smith, TB

(Sorry about that one, SF's Smith is probably worse.)

WRs

1.) Roy Williams, Dal

I've found temptation to do similar things, but aren't you kinda playing with fire there? I mean, you have to deal with a lot of politicking and memories tend to run long in keeper leagues. Unless this rookie owner bails, you might have him stonewalling you for years in future trades...though I suppose if your "sell" of Lloyd is done earnestly enough, the suspicions of foul play will subside...

I do the same thing. What do you use as your source material? I'm looking for an easier way... Thanks.
I used the free VBD Excel sheet from Footballguys. I went to each position tab and copied and pasted the first three columns on a new page. It took about five minutes, but the cheatsheet is easy to read, has everyone, and is in alphabetical order.
