Worst SB since Arizona and Pitt? (1 Viewer)

It doesn't matter who plays in the Super Bowl. It's going to get a 60-65 share.Steelers/Cardinals, drew over 98 million viewers, the most ever at the time and a million more than the "marquee" matchup between the 18-0 Patriots and the Giants (biggest TV market in America) just one year prior.

The brothers angle will be over played so much that people might get turned off by it. Ray Ray is a circus act now, like an elephant on a high wire, people will watch, but dont care about him. Cant wait til he is gone, although I do respect him as a football player, he is a top 5 LB of all time, he as a person is lacking, and is now just hamming it up for cameras.ARZ v PIT was a fun super bowl to watch, maybe ARZ didnt bring the street cred teams like GB, NYG or NE bring, but that SB had 2 of the most famous SB plays ever, the TD to Holmes and the INT return by Harrison. And it was a close game. Fun, very watchable IMO.Both brothers are 100% complete jerks, arrogant, ignorant, know-it-alls. Sure one will win a title, but one will lose, so it makes its 50% a good day. And NE losing and their ### hole coach acting like a baby was nice!!!I want SF to win, dont care if they tie my Steelers for 6 titles, but its better than the Ravens getting #2 IMO.

Pretty good Super Bowl. No Pates. No Giants. No Cowboys. No Bills. No Steelers. No Dolphins.
Man cut the Fins a break they haven't been to a Super Bowl since the 84 season and probably won't return for a long time to come.
I am a Jets fan. I still have scars from the Bills going to Super Bowls.
This is why I like NFL fans > college fans. None of that "division pride" crappola.

Maybe even worse. At least we get to laugh at Ray for losing in the Superbowl now. Anyone want to bet on how low the ratings will be? Probably the lowest in 10 years or so I'm guessing.
Are you kidding? the Harbowl? Brother against brother! What a great story line. Yea, it'll be way overblown by the media, of course. But thats why I dont watch any of the media crap leading up to the SB. I'm actually looking forward to this SB much more than most recent SB's. Pats v. G-men?....meh. I'm just glad the Pats are not in it. They've had their timeKap is exciting to watch. Ray Ray's goin out playin in a SB. Flacco is throwing the ball well. This should be a hard hitting, fun game to watch. As someone who has always hated the niners, it pains me to root for them. But, I cant help it. I'm a big Kap fan. I'm very impressed with how this young man has overcome adversity in the playoffs. Dudes a mercenary!

I dunno about that. College rivalries are awesome, and most go back much further the NFL rivalries. As an Oregon State Alum, I root for anyone playing the ducks. Nothing like the atmosphere at a "big rivalry" college football game.

As a duck alumn, I can honestly say I don't recall the last time I cared about a beavers game outside of the civil war. The "rivalry" is equivalent to the hammer versus the nail.

Conspiracy theorists suggest that Brady was drugged during the pre-game meal so football fans across the world can get two weeks of learning everything we couldn't care less about regarding the Harbaughs and their lives, family, etc.Although, it would be interesting to finding out if the parents we're instrumental in both of the boys growing up as whiney-### crybabies. You know, like did they have a family game night with an impartial party (i.e., neighbor) ruling on each die roll, card selection, etc. and the boys were taught to pitch hissy fits each time it was their turn and they didn't like the outcome? Maybe it is more genetic than being a product of the environment...

He's probably talking about the LHUCKian and SECian trait of rooting for an entire conference.

Just not looking forward to quite possibly the most boring SB of all time.
Well, hopefully it'll be a nice day where you live for a bike ride or something.
Or if the weather is bad, he can stay in for an extended session of Trap the Clown with his Tom Brady blow-up doll.

Only thing I have to look forward to is the 9ers walking off dejected, a possible Harbaugh vs Harbaugh post-game throwdown, and the one SB commercial I got to work on this year (though I did just get offered one next week, but I'm still on disability). Look for the Jack in the Box Meat Riot commercial. Should be good.

You gotta love the loser patriot fans after their last loss of the season. Happens every year
Bunch of bitter Seahawks fans in here, too. If only we had a way to separate the best teams.
Best? Don't think so.Any team can get on a roll at any point during the season. Certainly, you don't truly believe this Baltimore team is better than Atlanta, Green Bay, Houston or Seattle. Do you?Let's be real...Baltimore fans were excited their team made the playoffs but gave them no real shot at beating Denver on the road.

This game is a hell of a matchup. Two hard-hitting teams in what will be a violent game. As for the Pitt - Arizona Super Bowl...that was a terrific one.

We are judging a Super Bowl before the game is played? Anyone who doesn't watch this game because of the teams involved simply aren't football fans. It is the Championship game. And as far as a matchup, I like it (although obviously I wish the Packers were one of the participants). Brother v. Brother coaches. Ray Lewis' last game (that I hope he loses). Two hard nosed defenses. What's not to like?

:lmao: The fact that having sports-hatred for the two teams involved is actually a pretty strong indicator of football fandom.

No question. But you hate a team so much you won't watch the Super Bowl? Really?

No, I'm not in the "won't watch it" camp. I just think it's going to be intolerable to watch because one of those teams will win, not because of the quallity of the game.

My dear Seahawk fan, I am sorry to hear of your problem. Maybe this will help?
When treating depression, several drug options are available. Some of the most commonly used include: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), such as Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa, Lexapro, Luvox, and Viibryd. Selective serotonin & norepinephrine inhibitors (SNRIs), such as Effexor, Cymbalta, and Pristiq. Older tricyclic antidepressants, such as Elavil, Pamelor, Sinequan, and Imipramine. Dopaminergic drugs such as Wellbutrin. Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), such as Nardil, Parnate, and Emsam. Tetracyclic antidepressants that are noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressants (NaSSAs), such as Remeron.

Wow, I just don't see this at all. I can't get enough of this story, and I don't give a crap about either team. The odds against two brothers being NFL head coaches at the same time are enormous, and the odds against them meeting in the Super Bowl are astronomical. Jim can be a bit of a baby, sure. But that's the competitor in him. John seems like a nice guy, and their parents seem like great people as well. And just imagine if Indiana U wins it all in basketball. (Tom Crean married Jim and John's sister).

The OP is just trolling. I mean, most people, probably 90% would say the cards/steelers was entertaining. Possibly the most exiting of the 2000's.

You see what the Ravens did to the Pats? Fool got knocked the fk out. Pollard and co. vs Whitner and co. Gonna be some classic hard hitting football. If you dont like that you might be watching the wrong sport. I'm fearful for the offensive players on both sides.

Raiderfan has abused Hawk fans for years. NOW is the time to be in the AFCW.

Once Brady is done can I assume all the Pats fans will dissapear back into the abyss they crawled out of in the late 90's? If LA can wait a few years longer to get a team, the Pats can move there and switch one fair weathered fan base for another.

Yea, the ducks have owned us in football recently. But your arrogant "duck alum" post is ignorant and very short sighted. The rivalry goes beyond football and has been going since long before you and me. The ducks are also prolly gonna have NCAA sanctions on them for their recruiting. Chip carroll....i mean kelly bailed. Myabe the ducks shouldnt cheat with their dirty phil knight money. haha. Oh and dont even get me started on their stupid uniforms! This year the Beavs are gonna take the Civil War!! Maybe that'll shut up the duck bandwagon for a few minutes.

I'm sure there is a contingent of "fans" that will have no interest since Brees, Rodgers, a Manning, Brady are not in the game. But there is no way anyone that really loves football would deem this as the most boring one ever.

Thanks for the help, but I'm good. Just because I don't like either team in the SB doesn't make me depressed. Just makes me discerning.

Good luck to your team, gb! I hope they do well next year. The city of Albany / Corvallis could use a little recognition. Flew in to PDX from the east coast this weekend, and my wife, looking at the smattering of orange shirts in the gift shops, said, "What's with all the Syracuse presence in Oregon?" :lmao:

Did she expect to see cowboys and indians riding horses too? Syracuse???? in Beaver country? Thats rich! Hopefully she didnt talk to too many people in Oregon, for your sake. Coulda been embarrassing. Did you explain to her that Oregon State actually won back to back college world series a few years back? I'm sure the response would have been something like, "whats the college world series?"

I miss Kurt Warner :(That's all I have to add.
Don't worry, you can get another USC QB that stuck around for a flop of a senior year and dropped his draft status by about 5-10 spots! Plus, he;ll fit right in as a Bible thumping, gay marriage hating conservative. Win-Win if you ask me.

I left in 93, there was plenty of flannel there. And I only wore eyeliner when I went to punk shows.

Patriots' fans loved Steve Grogan and Drew Bledsoe before Brady and Gino Cappelletti before them. You know very little about the history of the team. Perhaps you only recognized the team in the Brady era but we don't live in your world.
