Obviously there is no way the NFL would intentionally compress free agency into a single week. They want people to get signed so they can be with their teams during offseason OTAs, the players want time to go visit teams and view facilities and give it all some thought.

But that said... this free agency frenzy ranks up there with the NFL draft in excitement, if not surpassing it. There's no chance they would repeat this intentionally, but would you enjoy it if they did it this way every year?

Without the labor strife that preceded it of course.

I was coming here to start a thread talking about this. This week as been awesome and I would love it if free agency was like this every year. But there's no money in it for the NFL. No way they can sell TV rights. Only thing it would do is build interest in the sport and the NFL has no problem doing that already.

NFL Network viewers this week have more than tripled (up 211%) over this time last year. NFL.com traffic has more than doubled (up 121%).
