give me a break. If your kid did something bad and just never spilled the beans you'd still punish them for lying by omission right?Did she say to lie if you asked her? Or just not to bring it up. Big difference.I disagree. Teacher needs to be told not to encourage my kid to lie to me. It's really that simple. I'm not putting up with that. You can put anyone you want up on your pedestal.I would think otherwise. I have several friends that are teachers. I would expect them to be have professionally. Maybe you think all teachers are just petty people or something, I guess I just have different expectations. It was the obvious and predictable result.Right or wrong.. How could anyone think otherwise? The teacher singled out his daughter because she didn't like something that the daughter told to her parents. Do you think that's an appropriate use of her authority in a school room setting? Some of you guys get worked up over the strangest things.
I tend to think of people as people.
This is a poor example of weighing the pros and cons of a decision.
Pros... Can't think of anything that was ever going to be gained here? That you could say you stood up for something?
Cons... Here we are.
That's why I tried to handle this between two men at first. Now we get to sit in a room with two angry women. Nice work, well played Mr. Principal. And no matter the outcome, my daughter is going to notice a difference in how this teacher treats her, I can almost guarantee it.
