Did some quick math, and my guess is that NFL owners make $2.5 mil in ticket sales alone from each exhibition game. Add in the concession and parking AND the fact that no players earn true game checks, and its no wonder why its so hard to get rid of these worthless games.
Would you be willing to pay more for your season tickets IF it meant we would have to deal with fewer exhibition games?
My opinion is that starters rarely play anymore and since rosters are smaller, there's more likelihood that someone who will end up on your 53 man roster will get hurt. Just makes no sense to me that an NFL team, with year round OTA's, mini camps, and training camps, needs 4-5 pre season games to evaluate talent and get ready for the season.
For the record, i split tix with my dad and 2 friends and i would definitely pay more for them if it meant the season would get here sooner AND with fewer injured players.
IBT "its counter intuitive to pay more for less"
