Would You Rather Have DD or Kevin Jones (1 Viewer)

While I don't like either of these guys very much this year, many people may want to consider these two at the end of the first round / start of the second round.

I find this to be a really close call this year, I'm think Dominack Davis is a better pick due to him being a more proven commodity, although he's a huge injury risk.

What are your thoughts?

It has been shown that DD has been RB6-8 in points per game and 2005 was the only year he missed more than 1 game. Even so, if you had Wells as a handcuff, you still had a top 10 RB for the year.Whether Martz can make magic in Detroit IMHO is to be seen. I am not much of a believer at this point until I see something, and who knows if KJ is even a good fit. He sure hasn't shown anything in terms of FF stud-dom except for 4 games with 25+ carries and 1 game with 19 carries. With Martz at the helm Jackson and Faulk have a combined 8 25+ carry games in the last 4 years.

Even in 2005 with DD missing 5 games, the Houston starting RB had 250 fantasy points to St. Louis' RB total of 207.

I love how everyone wants to be the Board Police. I fixed the original post so it is not an ACF thread and a more general question seeking input from others.

I think with either as a RB1, you are hurting.

I like Dom considerably more than Jones. He has shown a nose for the endzone, and is very versitale with great receiving ability. He was huge in 2004, was on a very nice pace in 2005, and you have to believe Kubiak, who played some part in the awesome Denver running attack, will make Dom Davis even better.

I wouldn't trust Jones to start. As stated, he hasn't proven anything. He had a very nice 2nd half in 2004, but that's it.

In choosing between the 2, I think it's Dom all the way.

If I had to take one I'd go with "Double D". To be honest I would consider a te or 2nd wr before taking either of these guys.

I like D. Davis better in this situation. One of the reasons is the handcuff.

Wells has proven he can get the job done if Davis is out with an injury.

I'm hoping Kubiak can bring some of Denver's RB success to Houston.

I don't think I would want to have to depend on a Detroit RB handcuff.

Well, it's actually a Keeper league, I'm keepin Caddy so he'd be my RB2. Do any of you think Morency is the Handcuff here?

That's my problem as well. I have DD in my keeper league and am wondering who to target as the handcuff. Morency seemed to be the play until Smith was signed. Probably need to let the preseason unfold, but any homer insight would be helpful.

I have KJ in two leagues and I wouldn't consider trading him for DD. I think one back is on the way up, whereas the other might be on the way down.

Woa now. You'd prefer DD and Wells to KJ and Calhoun? Not I, young skywalker, not I.

Wells isn't currently a Texan.

Morency is a beast in waiting.Definitely grab him over a habitually out of shape underperformer.
