I've gone up to NYC every so often and it's been fun to see it rise from the view around Washington Square.
I used to love the area around the old WTC and that was my very first view of the Big City, taking the escalator up from the PATH train concourse underneath, rising up near where the old Borders was, seeing the gargantuan WTC rise before me. Loved that place and time, I will never forget it.
I am proud of NYC and New Yorkers for pulling this off, well done.

I have already stated that I would work there, gladly.
Lucky enough to have this perspective a couple weeks back at a conference - 57th floor of WT4, stunning views.
I probably already mentioned, but my home on Long island is right by a waterfront park, but there's a large hill going down that starts probably 200 feet above sea level. From the top of the hill, you see the top 30 or so floors and antenna for the WTC (used to see the Twin Towers, though I did not live there at the time). Pretty cool reminder.
