Wow the Buccaneers ruined their uniforms (1 Viewer)

Ha ha, good one. Those are Arena Football League uniforms.
Was going to post the same thing. Really hacky POS - almost "Rollerball-like".

As I think about even more - these are the stupidest ####### uniforms I have ever seen. Yeah even more than the Steelers throwbacks - at least they have an excuse.

Hopefully this will get corrected.

Yup. Not only are the new uniforms horrible and so amateurish-looking, but the red and pewter uniforms were IMO among the best in the NFL.

Just a catastrophically stupid decision.

But props to the Bills for bring back the beautiful blue uniforms and ditching the horrendous Bledsoe-era jerseys with the obnoxious piping all over the place.

Big Bucs fan, will never wear that crap. Loved the Creamscicles however at the time when they changed to the pewter, those orange ones had a lot of bad history so they were a welcome change. After the Bucs won a Super Bowl the orange ones gained a lot of respectability and became cool again. These new ones are atrocious.

They look fantastic in person. Big fan.
No way. The original pewter uniforms were all-time classics. Easily one of the the best uniforms in the league. I'm stunned they would ever change.
I agree. But these look great too.

They had a huge unveiling at the stadium this past weekend. Stuff was flying off the shelf and EVERYBODY here hated these a month ago.

They look awful. These are easily the worst uniforms in the league now. And its not like I don't like teams to take chances - I instantly liked the new Seahawks jersey. But this just looks bad. These will quietly get changed in a few years.

They have grown on me. I really like the helmets.

I don't like the new FSU logo though, but hopefully it grows on me. They are supposed to unveil the new uniforms soon.

Ok, you don't like em. I got it down on my list here.

At the unveiling people were posting pictures about how the numbers light up at night, in the dark. Looked amazing.

I don't know how to search Instagram so I won't bother trying to link.

The number font is indeed terrible. And from these angles the logos are way too big on the helmet. Agreed that the pewter ones were easily one of the best in the league.

Sales have been very good.
Sales are always very good for a uniform change, even for the worst abominations. That doesn't mean anything.
Not true. The FSU logo change doesn't look like it will be a success at retail. Alabama launched a new logo a few years ago, fans rebelled...so they had to go back to the original. Recent logo changes from the Lions and Vikings had very little reaction. This Bucs change has been a success.

They are Reflective...which is a uber-hot trend in footwear and is crossing over to apparel. Check out the MLB black/reflective replica jerseys at Champs right now.

Reflective also doesn't look bad if you don't 'get it'...it's just a silver accent.

Not sure where the font inspiration came from, but 8-bit video game inspired graphics have also been hot...so it could be related to that.

You have a link to the failed Bama logo? I never heard about that.

I think it involved a book and some teeth.

Now I know you're joking. If it was Alabama, there's no way it involved a book.

It's the angry Elephant logo...where they re-did the Elephant to make him more aggressive and running out of the A. Reaction was so bad that they had to go back...although what they did was technically create a new logo (circle with script 'A' in middle), with the old logo within in (script 'A'). The angry Elephant was moved to a secondary logo, so can still be used...but isn't often.

I'm not sold on the new uniforms. I really dont like the new font for the numbers. Seems really cheesy and almost a forced retro look, unless there is some tie in with 24? The colors arent bad but the new pewter is almost black, or is black. They do know how hot it gets here in Tampa in August and September dont they? I dont mind the changes to the helmet as much. The gigantor logo is a little weird but not too bad.

But I agree with the other posters that we had one of the sharpest uniforms in the league. Now we seem very cartoony. The switch in 1997 wasnt nearly as jarring as this one is. Personally I'd have preferred they had actual gone more retro and taken more cues from the original creamsicle uniforms. Perhaps these uniforms will grow on me. But for now I am not going to rush out to buy new Bucs gear.

The Bucs seem hellbent to recovering their stupid unie status. The creamsickles are fun in retrospect but it wasn't so fun for them then, here they are just going back to that and abandoning what was a winning combo. Crazy. As a Saints fan can't say I'm sorry to see them bring back the hokieness.

Never been a fan of the new colors. Dark grey in Florida does not cut it. Should have updated the Orange. The Steeler Black and Gold had decades of bad history before the Chuck Noll era began.

There were a lot of haters on the Bronco's jersey also when it was first released and it seems to fit in just fine today.
I dont recall there being this much complaining when the original switch to Red and Pewter was made in 1997. They've been in that red and pewter uniform and color scheme for almost half of the organizations existence. I just dont see what was so wrong with the old uniform that there needed to be a complete revamp. Why not just subtly update the uniform?

Everytime a team updates their uniforms people complain about how awful they are until the next time they change and suddenly everybody laments about how awesome the last version was.

Does not look like NFL uniforms. But I'll have to see them in action before really judging.
