Reminds me of Troy Williamson. I just cut him for LeQuint Allen (Tuten owner). I’ve seen enough. His mind isn’t on Football. I don’t know where his mind is at. Not to mention playing for such a lousy team with no QB. I know that can change, I’m just not sure Mitchell will. He had attitude concerns coming out of college and was disinterested during his interviews. Teams were put off by that. All this before talking about his 41.8 catch percentage in 2024 and 56.3 this year. Atrocious. I’m perfectly fine being wrong on Mitchell.

Mitchell should be catching 200 balls a day from that machine.

Mitchell should be catching 200 balls a day from that machine.

I started Mitchell and predicted 100 yards and a TD Today.
Just had that feeling the Jets were going to feed Mitchell to see what they got in the trade.

Mitchell FINALLY found out he can catch the ball 🏈 f he concentrates.

Maybe Mitchell being the focal point of an an offense at wr, is what he needed for self confidence!!

I was in the middle of a head-to-head tilt that had turned into an early Thanksgiving butt-kicking (mine was getting kicked) and so I put him in because of targets and air yards. It should break a little better today even though people were on him— he gets open and he’s in the NFL, so if they keep throwing to him and he’s not completely awful he will do the old regress to the mean, which only means he’ll come closer to his positional-with-a-touch-of-the-personal mean. He can catch. Maybe not as well as others; and possibly with bad technique, but he’s at this level, gets open, and Taylor doesn’t have much choice.

Loved it for the Jets and salvaged the day a bit.

Great prediction, was trying to remember where you posted this. I nearly called you crazy but deleted my post…great call!
 
Adonai Mitchell caught 8-of-12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in the Jets’ Week 13 win over the Falcons.

Well alrighty then. So far only known in New York for his drops transferring from Indy, Mitchell displayed sure hands as he erupted for the first 100-yard receiving day of his short career. The highlight was a 52-yard touchdown where he simply ran by CB Mike Hughes, only to have to come back to the ball and make an excellent catch near the goal line. It was proof of concept that if the Jets kept giving Mitchell opportunities, he would eventually reward them with big plays. You don’t need us to tell you Mitchell will remain inconsistent down the stretch, but the fact he has finally established spiked week potential makes him much more lively as a WR4. The Dolphins are another plus matchup for Week 14.

Curtain Call Replays - Adonai Mitchell - Week 13 Highlights | Every Run, Target, and Catch vs Falcons

The biggest thing watching his tape is that it seems like he's always getting separation/open. That Falcons game he caught some very tough passes on a good Falcons secondary, and avoided the big mistake for the 1st time as a Jet. If he can be delivered a catchable ball and he doesn't get in his own way or derp, he can be very successful, even when Garrett Wilson comes back. The biggest thing the Jets need to do is get a QB who can throw accurate passes next year.

If you got him in Dynasty, congrats.
If you got him in Redraft (like me), enjoy the next 3-4 weeks and hope he doesn't derp in the playoffs.

Reed is back and while they compliment each other more than compete, Reed will pull some targets from Watson.
 
I have a must win game to make the playoffs, and I got Adonai Mitchell off waivers and I'm starting him over Keenan Allen and Brian Thomas Jr. I don't trust the Chargers passing game with Herbert's injury and their offensive line woes, and I don't trust Brian Thomas at all. Meanwhile, I think Garrett Wilson will be out for the Jets, and Mitchell could see a lot of targets. Granted, this could blow up in my face, but high risks sometimes yield high rewards.

True. Depending on how today plays out I might have a tough lineup decision to make for Playoff Game 1 next week.

I think starting Mitchell over those guys is the way to go for you today.

Wilson is not playing today
Mitchell got a lot of shine last week and I also picked him up at least to be my end of bench WR but Metchie has been a little more consistent over several weeks

Mitchell runs pretty strong out routes and Miami has some issues in that regard, could be a good week for him but I would stress that Rasul Douglas and Minkah Fitzpatrick have been playing very well in the Miami secondary so the Jets WRs need to find other DBs to exploit. Miami has won a few games of late, the Phins are playing well across the board except at 1 big position and that's QB

I liked Mitchell a lot before he was drafted, didn't think the Colts would work out for him when it was the ARich show. He's on another bad football team with weak QB play, I wouldn't expect miracles from him, last week could be just an outlier and not anything we see often

That said, he has upside and for many that need a boom/bust type in one of their flex spots, he's hard to pass on. WR3/4 or a Flex spot, he has some appeal

In my case, I’m trotting Mitchell out as a WR2. It’s a 16 team league, and Brian Thomas Jr. was the first WR I drafted. Ouch!

Fortunately, for me, Davante Adams was the second wide receiver I drafted so I still have a true WR1.

Me starting AD Mitchell over Brian Thomas certainly isn't looking like good move early, but, hey, Thomas has screwed me all season so what's one last time?
 
Started both Mitchell and Jefferson and some how won this week.
I don't know what to do first week playoffs.

Mitchell without Taylor at QB is useless and Jefferson right now.
 
Adonai Mitchell caught 1-of-6 targets for 24 yards in the Jets’ Week 14 loss to the Dolphins.

Mitchell had an inefficient day, catching just one of his six targets. His sole reception came in garbage time from Brady Cook, making what many though was a smash spot into a bust game. Losing Tyrod Taylor early hurts, but Michell also dropped a pass in the red zone in this game. The 23-year-old played 53-of-58 snaps and certainly has room for heavy opportunity with Garrett Wilson out. Mitchell is in the WR5 ranks for Week 15 against the Jaguars.
