WR Brian Thomas Jr., JAX (6 Viewers)

With Hunter going to IR, if BTJ can't get it done this week then there is no hope for him rest of season. 15 points should be his floor this week.
In what way do you think Hunter has been an obstacle to BTJ this year?
Not to speak for @Dawg Pound 69 , but for me it seems he had taken over the focal point of the passing game. I maybe wrong. I don’t watch many of their games. It just seemed that way to me since I’ve seen more of the jags lately than I have all .
Thanks, I've actually watched all of their games and that never seemed to the case to me. Hunter's basically been a slot only guy.

Thomas as of today is on pace for the exact same amount of targets as he got last year, 133.

I didn't realize that......SWEET!

Cleared to play if not a Honda. I bet you haven’t heard that in a long time.
I haven't...what does it mean?
Repeat something already said.

I always thought it was to make fun of the reply being too slow like a Honda. Same general idea.
Honda has always been a duplicate
Yep

I saw speculation of a high ankle sprain when he left. He did come back for a goal line play but then I didn’t see him again
Seems to be a lost season for BTJ. I wouldn't hold out much hope going forward.
Kicking myself for not accepting a trade for Dowdle a week ago. The owner would probably laugh at me now, especially since he has Parker Washington.

All we can do now is hold and hope it’s not a high ankle sprain and BTj can get over his other injuries before the fantasy play offs.

He didn't do much before his boo boos either.. so don't think that does much for him.

Lost season for him at this point, giant bust in fantasy and real football

Would not be surprised if Jags trade him in the offseason, does not seem like a good match on both sides

DNP Wednesday
Does it matter?

We have crossed into Treylon Burks territory imo, at least in redraft.

Let's recap BTJ's season:

1. Hurt--but hidden, and useless.
2. One good game
3. Useless
4. Hurt--and known, still useless.

Actually he's WORSE than useless because he continues to clog rosters.

Could have made a killing from trading this guy prior to the season.
:ptts:
I'm just happy I moved him before last week and still got something.

In redraft? Just draft n' trade? Wish I had.

Redraft.

BTJ, Pollard and Skatebo (after injury)

For

Montgomery, Downs

Hopefully Thomas isn't Michael Clayton reborn.

Thomas, LSU, selected 23rd over-all, 1282 yards, 10 TDs
Awesome rookie year
Sophomore season marred by injuries and low production.

Clayton, LSU, selected 15th over-all, 1193 yards, 7 TDs
Awesome rookie year
Sophomore season marred by injuries and low production.
Rest of career as well. (1 Super Bowl ring)

I completely forgot about Clayton. Nice comp, but I hope incorrect.

Seriously, I have both BTJ and Jakobi in my home league. Am I crazy for wanting to dump both of them for Oronde Gadsen (WR/TEs are a combined position) and Troy Franklin?

Short bench league, have BTJ & Jakobi and I only carry Dak as my QB. One of those two is getting dropped for Mariota or Brissett UNLESS a trade offer of Gadsden for Baker (have McBride) is accepted. Good Times!

I'd give it serious thought. Gadsden, even in a game where Johnston showed up again, was a big part of their gameplan against Tenn and was a yard or two away from 2 tds as well.

Lost year and not a good one. I hope he’s able to bounce back from it. I think a trade would be good, but that assumes he’s not going to a team papering over a QB problem.

An argument can be made that isn't a bad deal. Lawrence isn't gonna make any one a fantasy stud. And you have TWO jags receivers.

Wanted to try and buy BTJ low in dynasty. Have him on 2 teams already and got one team of mine decidedly on the outside of the playoffs after a nice 13 year run so starting to work on a rebuild I should have started 2-3 years ago.

FFPC one start QB:

Offered Mahomes and Deebo. Rejected.

They countered with Mahomes and Devonta. I rejected it.

Just providing data points.

Traded away Breece and Addison for him and KWIII a few weeks ago hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. Looking like another misfire for me in a bad luck year.
I’ve actually thought about offering Addison or a Quentin Johnston type to his owner this week who has one WR and a full bench of guys he won’t want to drop to pickup a WR to start the two required.

I don’t need BTJ this week and neither of those guys will start in the flex this week, so I’d be trading bench for possible upside.

The problem as we all see, is that it’s hard to see the upside.

As a former BTJ owner, Id have taken Addison straight up if he was offered for BTJ.

Yeah. I toyed with it last night but most rest of season rankings have both Addison and QJ squarely above BTJ.

At this point I’d just be buying a name.

Even if he's fully healthy, which he isn't, it just seems that any positive traits Lawrence has as a QB are not really suited to BTJ's game. I can easily see Jakobi coming in and outperforming him by a good margin RoS. Particularly in PPR formats.
