WR Chris Olave, NO (1 Viewer)

(FantasyPros) Saints WR Chris Olave caught 4 of 7 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. Analysis: Without Jameis Winston fantasy managers were rightfully worried about what Olave's production would look like. Outside of the targeted air yards, not much changed, Olave remained heavily involved. Now through four weeks he leads the Saints in snaps, target share and routes ran. Sunday he scored his first career touchdown. The buy-low window may have closed, but fantasy mangers rostering him should take the set it and forget it mentality with him in their starting lineups.

Chris Olave (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.

Olave landed on his helmet while securing a touchdown grab in the third quarter last week. He had to be helped off the field before heading to the locker room. His status for Week 6 is up in the air. The Saints were also without Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas for Week 5. Neither practiced today. If all three are ruled out, things will look incredibly bleak for the Saints.

Chris Olave told reporters that he's fully cleared and "100%" for Week 7 against the Cardinals.

As expected after he nearly was able to make it back from his concussion for Week 6. Olave will be the easy No. 1 target for whoever starts the game for the Saints, and he should be in the fantasy WR2 zone for Week 7's ranks.

AZ defense against #1 WR:

Last wk Metcalf 2/34 (7 targets)
2 wks ago AJ Brown 3/32 (7 targets)
3 wks ago DJ Moore 6/50 (11 targets)
4 wks ago Kupp 4/44 (6 targets)
5 wks ago Davante Adams 2/12/1 (7 targets)
6 wks ago Not sure who to call #1 for KC - it's Kelce

So anyway last week I posted a poll on twitter asking who I should bench in order to get Gabe Davis into my lineup. Choices were Metcalf or Evans. One person chimed in with the stats above and that I should bench Metcalf. Well I didn't listen but now I'm thinking about Olave catching passes from Dalton tonight and I'm skeptical. I don't really have better options in those spots but nevertheless...thoughts from someone that has actually watched AZ defense?

Faced with the same dilemma but don’t really have choices. Jakob I may get the swap though. Murphy is a really good CB.

Glad he was OK after that second hit. He got popped HARD. It was also nice to see some run after catch tonight. I just wish they had a real QB.

Chris Olave caught 7-of-14 targets for 106 yards in the Saints' Week 7 loss to the Cardinals.

Facing a Cardinals defense whose Byron Murphy-keyed coverage has done a number on opposing No. 1 wideouts this year, Olave cleared 100 yards for the second time in six NFL contests. It was extra impressive since the absence of Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry made Olave the clear focal point of the Saints' passing attack/Arizona's defensive attention. The No. 11 overall pick had two other potential receptions jarred loose by huge hits. Olave had only three catches for 40 yards at halftime but went to work after the break with the Saints down 28-14 following a pair of Andy Dalton pick-sixes. Olave's situation is rife with variables, including his receiver teammates' health and his quarterback situation, but he will probably belong in the top 24 for Week 8 against Las Vegas.

Chris Olave caught 6-of-9 targets for 71 yards in the Saints' Week 9 loss to the Ravens.

Olave's nine targets were four more than Marquez Callaway for the team lead, and the rookie wideout easily led the team in catches and yards. He's gone three straight games without a touchdown, however, and has just two on the year. Jarvis Landry (ankle) looked close to playing in this one and should be back for Week 10 against the Steelers. Still, Olave will very likely remain the target hog at wideout going forward, especially with Michael Thomas (toe) done for the year. Olave is an every-week WR2/3.

Chris Olave caught 5-of-6 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in New Orleans' Week 11 win over the Rams.

Olave roasted man coverage from Jalen Ramsey and split him and a deep safety for a 53-yard touchdown strike from Andy Dalton. Up to 760 receiving yards in his first 10 games despite no offense around him to speak of, Olave looks to be delivering on the cost to trade up and select him. He'll be a WR3 in a tough matchup against the 49ers defense in Week 12.

Chris Olave caught 4-of-6 targets for 65 yards in the Saints' Week 13 loss to the Commanders.

Olave remained the top option in the pass game, leading the team in targets yet again. His numbers could have approached the 100-yard threshold had he not dropped a perfect pass from Andy Dalton in the second quarter, which would go down as his first drop through 98 targets as a rookie. We'll give him a pass just this once.

I really hope the late bye was beneficial for Olave. Most rookies arent used to that late season push past the 12-13 game mark. Dalton is what he is. Hopefully he locks in on Olave and the Falcons leave him wide open.

(fantasypros) Chris Olave caught three of four passes for 53 receiving yards in the Saints' 21-18 Week 15 win over the Falcons.
Analysis: Olave saw his fewest targets since Week one on a day in which quarterback Andy Dalton attempted just 17 passes. The rookie wideout will look to get back on track in a Week 16 road matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

Showed up on the injury report today with a hamstring. Listed as questionable.

Yep. Already there. I have Cooper too. If it holds by Saturday, I'm benching both.
I think you have to. You just can’t throw when it’s 25-35 mph winds. That’s Buffalo/Pats conditions from last year. I’m scrambling to find a spot starter for Watson.

Not like Watson was lighting it up anyway. So good to have an alternative. You can always try Minshew.

Gardner is my hope right now. Kyler was my starter in sunny Arizona and then a dome smash spot against Atl but as we know his knee blew up. Something something best laid plans.

Chris Olave (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

The team listed Olave as DNP on their estimated practice report Tuesday, but he was officially sidelined with his hamstring injury in Wednesday's practice. Olave will have up until Thursday to log a limited session, but if he's unable to get any work in leading up to Saturday's game against the Browns, his status for Week 16 could be in jeopardy. We'll check back in with an update after Thursday's practice.

Good, it'd be great for him to get up to the 1k yard season, but from a selfish dynasty point of view I'd rather him sit and just wait until week 17 to do so

Looks like Olave is playing today...hamstrings are always dicey...can you trust him today when all the marbles are on the line?
