WR Cooper Kupp, SEA (3 Viewers)

I don’t know what the scouts and GMs are seeing, but this guy to the Chiefs should have been a no-brainer and a world-beating type of thing. Now the Chiefs got DeAndre Hopkins, but what good does that really do them? What about KC is contested catch? It’s motion, movement, and YAC.

Which guy sounds like the better fit?

You know, I used language like “no-brainer,” which didn’t really match my thoughts. I was posting in a normative way and using what I would wish for and play style over the obvious concerns of salary, pick compensation, and future injury concern.

It’s not a no-brainer for him to go to KC. I just think the style of play matches up with KC better than DeAndre’s does at this point in their careers. I can totally see where KC and LA couldn’t get a deal done given salary and the other two concerns; I was just wishfully thinking. Thanks to the commenters who brought up the salary cap and that concern for KC. That sounds like a darn fine explanation for why it couldn’t get done.

You all firing up Kupp tonight?
Yes. Just lost Godwin just in time for Kupp to come back.

Will always remember Week 1, 2024 when I had them both healthy at the same time.
It was glorious wasn't it...

Those were the days. Had (have) Kupp, Godwin, Rice and Nico on a 12 team season long draftkings bestball tournament. Thought I had that one in the bag for a few weeks, lol.

Good to have Kupp back, his floor is an improvement over the trash I gotta start now. Hopefully Puka keeps the D from focusing on Kupp and he goes off tonight. Had too much bad luck lately, it turns around tonight!!!

I don’t know why a team like the Chiefs or Steelers aren’t going hard after Kupp. He is still an elite receiver that can take either team over the top.

You place him on KC and they don’t lose another game. Kelce, Kupp, and DHop combined are 100 years old, but they still got a little something left. Plus, Pat’s their QB.

I just don’t get it. I think a second rounder is more than fair - whether Rams eat some salary or not. Kupp would make every receiver better on the Chiefs.

Does a Rams win tonight put the Kupp trade rumors to bed?
I don’t think so - I think Rams know they aren’t competing for a championship this season - that defense just has too many holes. Nacua can be the alpha receiver in that offense and I think Jordan Whittington has shown he can be a good number two in the future with Atwell manning the slot.

Anyone watching him tonight aint giving the Rams a 2nd no way.
yeah, you would think if they were really trying to trade him, they would feature him, which they have not done so far tonight. If he went off for 150 and a pair of TDs that might make somebody offer them a second, but 3 catches for 15 yards - there's 50 guys in this league that can do that.

And they would just ignore what he's done the rest of his career or even earlier this season?
Yeah. I’ve never gotten the showcase game mentality.

You think there’s GMs out there tuning into Thursday night football to see if they want to trade for Kupp or not?

Their primary concern is to win a football game. I doubt McVay gives a **** about Kupps trade value. Probably doesn't want to trade him.

Starting to think he's still not 100%. It's been all Puka and Kupp has been out on obvious passing downs. Strange.

I think you're right, just seems like he's laboring too.

He may be washed. Doesn't run further than 5 yards down field. Stafford not even looking his way at all. They are dreaming of they think they are getting a 2nd for him.

And of course, Puka, with what everyone deemed a more significant injury, and not expected back until week 10, and hasn't practiced at all, is ripping it up.

I'm convinced nobody knows a damn thing about anything.

I wondered if Kupp would be eased in...I think my hunch was right. So far, saved by the TD catch, but not a typical Kupp with a seat at the buffet line, game.

Yet Kupp is down blocking linebackers when they run.

A 31-year-old coming off an injury has ten fantasy points at the half, and everyone is whining and complaining. Maybe you guys should temper your expectations a little. Sheesh
Without the TD he has 4 pts. I expected more. Normally Kupp scores 15 PPR points just getting out of bed in the morning

This is 100% it. Coaches aren’t telling reporters anything of value. Fantasy “experts” are just regular guys with a column or podcast.
