After acquiring wideout Deion Branch on Monday in a trade with the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks have decided to leave the former Super Bowl MVP on the bench for the time being. The Seahawks had received a two-game roster exemption for Branch and have decided to take advantage of it. Had the team decided to activate him, they would have had to release a player from the 53-man roster.
