WR Demaryius Thomas vs Dez Bryant (1 Viewer)

I dont know enough about these two wr's but from my initial research I feel they both are neck and neck on value. Why does everyone have Dez so much better then Demaryius? is there a possibility that Thomas gets drafted before Bryant in the NFL draft? Could Thomas break into the top 5 in a rookie dynasty draft? is it really that great a diffeerence between these two guys? cause I just dont see it...

i dont either. i like dez as this drafts #1, but i dont think demaryius is far behind. i would take him top 5 easily

You look at some of the rb's in this years class and you get the feeling its safer to take these two higher then any of the rb's. Then again we will see were everyone ends up and how they perform in the combine.

Bay-Bay Thomas' size is very Brandon Marshall esque.

Bay-Bay Thomas is super powerful like a young Terrell Owens.

He has good hands, is not a body catcher.

Great top end speed. The best!

The main difference in value is being able to contribute right away. I have read that Thomas never had to run routes in college, and the highlight films seem to echo this. Certainly he's going to have to learn that before becoming a consistent fantasy contributor. Like Sid Rice and Marshall, it might take a while just for him to look like he was worth the investment, let alone starting helping your team. Bryant is ready now.

I just don't see it with Thomas.

No second gear

Extremely stiff

Limited as a route runner

I havent watched enough of Bryant to give an accurate assessment, but the best WR IMO is Damian Williams.

Man, that's rough. Dez Bryant is a beast and you should know this.

Bay-Bay Thomas had Chan Gailey coaching him NFL pro style routes for 2 years. Bay-Bay Thomas can certainly run routes with the best of them!

You should watch college football. Bay-Bay Thomas has more gears than a Lamborghini Murciélago.

The EastBayFunk Theorem says:

- If you're slow, you'd better be big.

- If you're small, you'd better be fast.

I don't care if Thomas is a 4.5 or 4.6 guy because that's an acceptable time given his body type and playing style. He's a power WR in the mold of Anquan Boldin and Brandon Marshall (neither of whom runs below 4.5).

He's big enough to overpower defensive backs and he doesn't look slow to me on the field. Slow guys usually don't average 25 yards per catch.

I was going to say that Thomas looks pretty fast to me on tape. I think he's one of those guys that plays faster than he'll time. No one is suggesting he's DeSean Jackson or anything.
