WR DeVante Parker, Retired (2 Viewers)

Miami's Pythagorean Win Expectation was approximately 7.5 games last year against one of the 10 easiest schedules.  They now are projected to face the seventh most difficult schedule this year.

:lmao:  I'm not a troll for calling someone out who is completely clueless.
Nah, you are a troll for your excessive use of the ROFL emoji and 1 sentence straw man replies

He said the Dolphins won 10 games last year and are more talented this season. One of those is objectively true, the other is subjective, but has merit considering who they got back from injury.

I am amazed that all the skilled gamblers in here don't understand why Vegas sets their lines the way they do.

You should educate the squares in here if you are such an expert.
Strength of schedule falls somewhere between awesomeness of the team logo and the number of Capricorns in the defensive backfield.

Apologies for the sarcasm.

Lines are set, and moved, based on the psychology and betting patterns of the betting public every bit as much, if not more, than a detailed analysis of what is happening on the field.

And one last thing, if you don't understand how Vegas betting lines work...then it's pointless to even engage with you.  They aren't "predicting" 7.5 wins, they are simply setting the line where the most betting is likely to occur on BOTH sides of the line.  That's how they make money...I know it's an astronomical concept to comprehend...but try it and then come back.

Got him in the 8th of my 12 team redraft. Really excited for him...he let me down last year but I have faith.

Hoping Cutler just keeps throwing it up for him.

What do people see for Parker this week?  hard to tell what to make of Rams defense and admittedly didn't watch to much pre-season for these guys.  Trying to figure my flex spot between him, Hurns and Carson.

Right city, wrong team and that's an easy call you have but you this is a not a WDIS forum.

fine.  is this better?

I'm just interested in some info on him.  That's all.  Its to help in making a decision on my team...like all discussion on this board.  I'm not asking who you would start over him, I'm asking for feedback on what your expectations are for him.  Don't see the problem, but whatever.

Good luck this week!

What a dooshbag response.  Ignore the post if it upsets you so much.

As for the question, I'd go with Parker. Cutler and Parker seem to have a nice repoir and the way he can throw the ball, should make him their number one over Landry.

I corrected him on the team, told him it was an easy decision but this was the wrong forum. Between the two of us one of provided  dooshbag post and it's not the guy looking at me in the mirror.

Thanks!  my understanding is that Parker fits the mold of the WR's that Cutler has had success with in the past.  Seems like a good start.

Love him for the season, not this week.

Chargers CB's and defense in general is vastly underrated. They should be able to put a lot of pressure on Cutler and the Chargers CB's cover very well but what they don't do is tackle well. This to me shapes up as a better Landry game, shorter passes due to lack of time and he is strong after the catch.

Again love Parker this year, more than Landry for sure, just not as much this week.

Starting Fitz over him in one league but I'm rolling Parker in another. I'm a little worried about the match up but Parker can still break one off.

Agree - I'm rolling with M.Bryant at my WR3 over Parker for their respective matchups.

Might bite me in the A, but seems sensible.

i want to see him in a regular season game now that Cutler is Qb'ing before committing him to a start. there's a lot to love here but i'd rather wait a week.

So ready to throw him in to my flex ... but hate the matchup.

The one thing that keeps me on the fence this week is Cutler - he's doesn't care about matchups lol. He's gonna chuuck it up anyways.

... still think I'm benching.

Cooper is an easy start over Parker ..

im currently benching him for Pryor and Alshon.

the Chargers have a great pass rush, and top CB's.

   Cooper at home against the Jets could be Top 3.
Than again Cooper could be sitting on the sidelines eating hot dogs by halftime as the B and C squads play mop up.

Love Parker this season and would ha e no problem starting him. However I am concerned about the Dolphins wonky travel schedule due to hurricane Irma.

Are you high? You might as well cut Jeffery

Is that good or bad?
He was graded out as PFF's #6 CB out of 119 qualifiers last year. PFF thinks he'll shadow Parker and that it's the least advantageous match-up for a WR this week.

DT didn't fair too poorly versus him last week but I don't think it can be construed as good, no.

Rolling Brandon Marshall over him as my WR2 (Nelson is my first)

Don't like the matchup and he burned me a few times last season.

Starting him over Hogan. Hogan has a great opportunity for a high ceiling but a lot of mouths to feed even without Amendola.

Parker up against a tough D but may have a higher floor given chemistry with Cutler.

Mostly excited to see him in action when the games count.

Don't do this, Marshall is washed.

This is the exact scenario I face and I'm leaning Parker but I'm very much undecided. After watching what Theilen did vs. NO out of the slot I really want to start Hogan. They profile super similarly.

Also per PFF's shadow coverage matrix, Hayward lined up opposite DT 73.5% of the time. DT was targeted 6 times and caught 4/61/0 against him.

Landry was a late add to the injury report, so there are even more targets for Parker now.

Jarvis Landry (knee) is questionable for Week 2 against the Chargers.

Yeah, this is a rough one. I think this is the kind of game Parker may have a tough time against two bona fide shutdown corners in Hayward and Verrett. With Bosa providing heat up the middle, if MIA's O-line falters could make it hard on Cutler who isn't exactly grace under pressure. But I can totally see Parker blowing over the top and taking that one pass for 50 yards and a score.

On the other side of the ball, Saints are a veritable sieve on defending the pass, with offenses regularly posting 300 yard receiving games against them through last year.  And they are playing without the one asset they do have in the secondary, Delvin Breaux. NO is a little bit stouter against the run (not great but not terrible, though they did totally break down against the Vikes last week) -- this may shift the game plan to attack them through the air a little more. Still - a lot of mouths to feed.

I think I may be convincing myself to give Parker a rest until next week, where he's likely to go hog wild against the Jets.

ETA: Looks like Amendola missed practice again today, which makes Hogan that much more intriguing.
