“Dont'e Thornton Jr. has seen a lot of reps at outside receiver opposite of Tre Tucker and Jakobi Meyers. He was a constant target for Geno Smiththroughout practice, reeling in a highly contested catch in the end zone during red zone period.”

Very, very early. But still notable Dont'e Thornton Jr (108th overall pick) appears to be getting more first-team reps than Jack Bech (58th overall pick).

“If minicamp was any indication, the Raiders have their frontrunners for their starting wide receivers. They would have Jakobi Meyers in the slot with Tre Tucker and rookie Dont'e Thornton on the outside. All three have had their moments as a Geno Smith target in offseason practices. Meyers being mister dependable, Tucker as the speedster, and Thornton being the physical freak with the length and wingspan.”
The reports are impressive for this kid. Kudos to him.
They throw 10k times to the TEs so there is no way I'm drafting their third or fourth WR.
Respect for Geno's work in Seattle but he would need to throw for 5-6000 yards to feed projections some are sharing.

WHAT IF...
The Raiders hand the D.K. Metcalf route tree to Dont'e Thornton Jr. in his rookie season.
Size & Speed Freak.

3.72 YPRR in his final season

One more: in second 11 on 11 period, it was Bech/Meyers/Thornton when @Raiders 1st team offense was in 11 personnel

Thorton playing with the first team has been a consistent theme all summer. He needs a lot of seasoning, but is talented and theoretically is the exact WR archetype this room needs.

#Raiders OC Chip Kelly on Dont’e Thornton
“He just has a great skill set. For someone that tall, that fast, he’s got a big catch radius…It’s comforting to Geno to know he’s got someone that fast, that tall out there ‘cause there’s a big body to throw to”
He can serve a valuable real football role as a sacrificial field stretcher.

#Raiders rookie WR Dont'e Thornton: "The biggest knock on me was I wasn't a true route runner...it's more motivation to get even better."
