WR Isaac TeSlaa, DET (3 Viewers)

No one expected much his rookie year without injury to others. I like the talent, but it will always be tough sledding on this team without opportunity. Being hurt himself doesn’t help either, but is secondary at the moment.

Love his game but I had to drop him weeks ago to cover bye weeks and injuries. His future is bright but when you have short benches, the future is now. He wasn't doing much - that offense is stacked.

He was mattering in the sense that Teslaa is a big, rangy WR with excellent speed and a huge catch radius who has been a redzone target for Detroit this year albeit in limited action. LaPorta is out this week, so there will more targets for the WRs. If Teslaa is banged up, that's a slightly bigger slice of the pie for Jameson Williams, espcially in the redzone. Thus, the reason for my comment. It's okay to discuss football in these forums right?

7 targets, 4 receptions, 2 Td's in 10 games.

To me, that's a speed bump for blocked opportunity.

In all 7 of the dynasty leagues I play in he has been dropped and picked up as injuries and bye weeks affected the rosters.

Right now he is the the 5th option for reception's(Laporta out). I don't think he was ever ahead of J Williams.

Nope, he was never ahead of Jamo, not even close. But if he's healthy and active on game day, he might just get a few targets this week with LaPorta out. They like him in the redzone where he excels at contested catches. But if he's out, those high-value 1-2 targets probably go to ARSB and Jamo, maybe Kalif Raymond. That's all I was saying.

Long-term, Teslaa is a hold or a buy if you have deep benches. I think he's a future star, just not this year.

can someone please share what his route tree has looked like in the games he has played? I have not been tracking him, and as desperation starts go, he's clearly wr2 for det tomorrow, right? third in targets i guess when we count Gibbs. does this at least get him a shot at fantasy wr3 or flex production? Dallas will likely score a ton, they are clicking on all cylinders, so det will need to keep up. tia.

Pondering him this week as well. Not sure if he's the guy or if they move people around without ARSB there and someone else picks up the targets?

It all comes down to the Amon status Thursday night. Someone is getting targets if St. Brown and laporta are both out. Tom Kennedy and TeSlaa are the most likely candidates.

I playeds some over 27.5 Kennedy REC yards. I think he is a more trusty option for Goff since hes been with the Lions for a lot longer. TeSlaa is boom/bust.

Would be a great time for TeSlaa to justify why Holmes drafted him in the 3rd round. Come on boom!

Yes, for yardage/catches TK should be the play.

I’m
Also going for, the boom.

Boom/bust seems to be the crowd opinion. Kennedy could and may very well soak up targets.

I picked up TeSlaa yesterday with intent to play him in PPR as flex. Now I'm thinking of going with Monty instead. Likely not the 20pt potential of TeSlaa, but Monty shouldnt have a problem getting 10+

In a thinly veiled WDIS: do we all agree TeSlaa is the higher ceiling, but Monty is the higher floor?

I don't know if this helps any, but in the prop betting for anytime TD, Monty is a bigger favorite at -115. TeSlaa is +170.

Starting him (and AD Mitchell) over Rome after three abysmal weeks. May start him over Marks/Aaron Jones in a flex spot. Then over Rome again in another league. And over Troy Franklin in another. Where you guys at with him? The process to start him seems so sound. Which means the dud is inevitable.

With so many fantasy playoff spots up for grabs this week, and TeSlaa and/or Tom Kennedy on waiver wires... and now last minute ASRB news... biggest PIVOT! in history sweeping through leagues right now

Nice stash in dynasty, but no more than a #3 WR on the Lions as long as ARSB and Williams are healthy and throw in LaPorta next year when he's healthy. I think he's especially important long term to ARSB and Williams owners.
