WR Jameson Williams, DET (6 Viewers)

This forum has turned into a suckfest. The level of negativity, especially by 'Lions fans' is a major turnoff.
Why are you talking about. Everyone here is celebrating his excellence.

And you can’t blame fantasy football players for poo pooing on a zero donut week.

Everybody expects way too much. I mean I want to see him be a superstar too, but he's doing what he can, he just has to get St. Brown out of the way. But heck I guess it's easy for me to say because I'm always loaded at WR.

He was the 12th pick in the draft. You expect that guy to be a top 15 wr in the league. Lol ARSB out of the way. Just throw away a top 5 wr in the league, so Jamo can get his numbers.

First time I started him since week 1. I apologize for doing that.
Warning: I'm starting him again this week.
Adjust your rosters accordingly.
dude, at least you can have a sense of humor about this. for your sake I hope he has a good week for you.

I never actually felt Jamo was bad. but I did feel there were too many mouths to feed in that offense. I was 100% sure Amon Ra and LaPorta were gonna get theirs. so I had a sneaking suspicion he would be the odd man out many weeks. occasionally it was LaPorta but most often it was Jamo.

with the injuries I'd start him now with confidence. hes now a WR2 who may have WR1 upside from time to time as long as the current injury situation holds.

My season is on the line and even though I said I’d never trust him again, the situation changed and I have to put him in my lineup.

To quote the character Michael Scott from The Office: “No question about it, I am ready to get hurt again.”

I’m rolling him out in game one of our playoffs, partly in case Bucky doesn’t look fully ready to play, but currently over Troy Franklin or Rome (one will start, not sure which right now - both go if Bucky doesn’t look good before the game).
Also starting him in another league where I need a win to get into the playoffs. Where in the losers bracket you’re at risk of being kicked from the league into the “lower tier”. He’s arguably my best receiver there, if I benched him it would be for Adonai Mitchell.

Let’s go!

Hopefully last week was an eye opener for everyone. He proved WR1 worthy with his performance. They are going to get him the ball.

I think WR1 performance on average will be matchup related. I still think he gets somewhat shut down against the top corners. There are times when he is successfully jammed at the line. and being a smaller WR that may always be an issue.

for that reason I dont know that hes ever a true consistent WR1. I could be wrong about that. but being a cut below that isnt chopped liver. hes still a solid fantasy WR in this situation the majority of the time just due to volume.

if Amon Ra comes back from injury then we may have a different discussion of sorts. but for now, if you have him, you should at least think about starting him. especially if you are in need at WR

I'm win-and-in in one of my leagues, and possibly even favored for the title assuming I make it. Missing ARSB while he is out, but no worries, I've got the WR depth to stay with it- JSN, Davante Adams, and... Jameson Williams.

I can just feel the narrative building. This is gonna bite me in the ***, isn't it...

My game can only affect my playoff seeding (and the only bye is out of reach). If St. Brown doesn't play, I just might play Jameson (vs #32 WR defense) over Egbuka (vs #12). I've had him most of his career and I've probably hardly ever started him, gotta put him out there for the fun of it.

I mean it's about time you see what you got in him. Can't just let him sit on the bench every game. You have to see what he can do on the "field".

For me Jamo is the ultimate live by the sword, die by the sword player. My WR room suuuuuucks and Jamo is one of the few that can deliver week-winning peaks but also week-losing valleys, and he's done both for me this season. For most he's a flex option, for me I'm pretty much cooked if he drops a donut on my matchup.

This is your moment. This game, this exact scenario. This is exactly why the Lions paid you. It's your time to shine. Now, go out and earn that money, kid.
18 targets
5 over his head
6 at his feet
2 wrong routes
4 drops
1 72-yard TD

14.2 points giving you a 0.2 point victory and playoff berth 🎉

Oh shoot I forgot about that end-around for -3 yards ...
