WR Josh Gordon, KC (8 Viewers)

So on his way out the door Gordon not only proved the coaching staff there is inept he was also instrumental in the teams first non-loss in over two years.

He is lucky. On to better things.
And the Browns win for the first time in about 2 years as soon as Gordon is shown the door.

You're actually starting him?  Who will be on your bench for him?
I'm just tweaking you.

It depends on how his practices go and whether he even suits up or not. The hoodie's comments will determine it. I'll be monitoring the situation. If so, he'd be in over A Pete and Alfred Morris in one deep league and in over Ekeler and Keelan Cole in another one that is a standard league (I have Crowell, Hyde, Edelman, and Ingram all rostered there, but those four are ineligible, and I was not starting either Crowell, in a timeshare, or Hyde last night with the impending birth of a child).

"As for Gordon's new teammates, they have been welcoming.

"We all know he's a good player. Excited to have him here and he seems excited to get to work," said safety Devin McCourty, one of the team's captains. "We'll see how it all shakes out."

Linebacker Dont'a Hightower recalled a 2013 game when Gordon had 7 catches for 151 yards and 1 touchdown against the Patriots.

"He was a monster then, and he's still a monster now," Hightower said. "He's a tremendous athlete, a great receiver. Glad to have him.""

""The Browns had gotten frustrated with him," Breer told NBC Sports Boston. "It wasn't just the hamstring or what happened last weekend, it was also the fact that he had trouble getting himself into football shape. I think a lot of people look at him and see him all rocked up and by human standards, he's in great shape, not the same thing as being in football shape. "

I am becoming more and more convinced the Patriots snaked Cleveland.  How does he think a player gets in football shape?

when i picture joshua caleb in a pats uniform, strutter by kiss plays in the background
I like to picture Gordon as the lead guitarist for Lynard Skynard. And I’m at the concert in the front row. And he’s got big angel wings.  And I’m HAMMERED drunk

I like to picture him in my fantasy lineup not posting single digit points for a change. Your scenario is more likely to happen

I am playing him this week on one team.  Albeit it is one of my weaker teams, but he may find the end zone.  But with the hamstring, just as likely he makes a debut against the Dolphins.

I wish it weren't a night game. He may not even be active and that if happens he may only score two TDs, which would clearly be a disappointment.

If I'm the Pats, I'm not sure what I do. Keep him inactive, or just turn him loose?

I mean, they're probably going to hammer Detroit regardless, so it would seem they'd hold him out for Miami, who is in first right now in the East.

Or plan to get him reps in an easy win on paper (the best laid schemes of mice and men...) to help identify the areas that need more work. It's a tough call for the Pats and Gordon owners.

Starting him, without knowing if he'll be active or not.

I'm just that guy, I guess.

No idea why they wouldnt play him. Make sure it's an easy win. Get him reps. FInd the groove between he and tom

Yeah, you're right. The thing that gives me pause is that Belichick plays -- or at least pays lip service -- to every game with that bolded phrase in mind. Even if he's just saying it, it sure is omnipresent.

People that roster Gordon are in a tough spot because of the Sunday night start. I hope they announce something today or early Sunday but information is so valuable to the Pats, you know they'll likely not tip their hand until they have to or until they even know themselves.

I finished buying that hamstring story a week ago
Yeah, that's the problem we have zero clarity on his injury or how he may or may not be used this week let alone RoS.

All we can do is.do is wait. He is a difficult guy to start this weekend...

...if you don't like more rainbow TDs than you can shake a stick at.

But I'm probably sitting him for Marshawn.

My main league is between him, Cole, and Ekeler. I think Bayhawks just asked a question about going with your gut, because everything is telling me other than raw talent and awesomeness, JG10 doesn't quite have the greatest situation this week in terms of playbook and health and time of day. Then again...

I mean, playing a team that has started 0-6 and has a regular season point differential of -34 doesn't tell us much about them, does it?

#Patriots downgrade DL Trey Flowers, DB Patrick Chung and DB Eric Rowe to out for tomorrow’s game. #NEvsDET

this was just posted. Methinka if JG wasnt playing, they'd have said

This also is some srs issues on the defensive side for NE.

Man, this is a clear example of the universe trying to tempt me.

Marshawn @ Miami where it's gonna be 80 degrees with 80% humidity. He is in my lineup now. I checked, that is the forecast (could be 77 & 77%).

Alfred Morris @ KC = No

Chris Carson vs Dallas = Hard No!

Mike Williams @ Rams = Maybeish?

Jimmy Graham @ Washington.  A legit option but who knows which GB receiver(s) are going to have a good day?

Tyler Lockett vs Dallas also a legit option, I just wish he had received more targets earlier in the games week 1 & 2. He salvaged each game late.

Then there is Josh...

What's the old saying about Temptation? It leads to exclusively awesome outcomes. That's it, right?

Right?

Awesome outcomes on Sundays are usually unstructured, and center around being surrounded by beautiful women and temperate sun.

Usually that's been led by some sort of benefactor/business endeavor whose outcomes and permanent affection one isn't cashing in on regardless.

So forget awesome outcomes and posterity, love temptation for temptation's sake. Revel in the three hours.
