This. There's no coincidence that news like this gets announced on Fridays. It's designed to minimize the story as much as possible. You are right. Far be it from the NFL to maximize its exposure on all fronts. Even in announcing suspensions it creates a media circus the NFL loves. Didn't they delay the schedule announcement release to gain maximum exposure? It's entirely possible so why act as if its not.Yes, he's probably letting the suspense build for a bombshell announcement. He's probably waiting for the NBA and NHL playoffs to end so he can get maximum exposure for his failed players. Yeah, that's probably what he's doing.Goodell could be paving the way for the bombshell announcements of rice and Gordon soon.
The NBA even televised the announcement of Donald Sterlings banishment. Its what leagues do to maximize the products exposure in any way. Which I should point out Sterling makes racist remarks and gets banned and sells his team for a unreal record breaking 2B because of the fallout. No publicity is bad publicity.
cut him@WKYCSports: #Browns WR Josh Gordon was issued a speeding ticket over Memorial Day Weekend. http://t.co/F23mncqbmC
I've explained it in this thread. Will Hill didn't complete stage 1, so his first violation in stage 2 was a suspension, whereas B'mon and Wash'ton got fines for their first stage 2 violations.I agree. I have yet to see someone report why or how there could be a difference between what Washington got and what Will Hill got.Hill's suspension merely shows that a year ban isn't a foregone conclusion.
Blackmon - 4 games, then one year
Washington - 4 games, then one year
Will Hill - 4 games, then 6 games.
It seems as if he just cant avoid having issues.cut him@WKYCSports: #Browns WR Josh Gordon was issued a speeding ticket over Memorial Day Weekend. http://t.co/F23mncqbmC

In addition to his speeding ticket, Gordon's passenger was issued a citation for possession of marijuana in an amount under 200 grams during the traffic stop. The marijuana was found in a blue bag with identification, and Gordon's passenger admitted it was theirs on the scene.
Because of a speeding ticket? HahaSo much for less than a year.
Pretty sure he is talking about the pot in the car that "wasn't his"......how dumb do you have to be to first have any pot in your car yours or not and speed on top of it.Because of a speeding ticket? HahaSo much for less than a year.
Yeah, 74 in a 60 is the part I was focused on. Not the weed in the car.Because of a speeding ticket? HahaSo much for less than a year.
That's the thing. Roger doesn't have to follow those instructions. If the glove dont fit, you must acquit
dude..."we were about to give Josh 6 games, until he was caught speeding. The league cannot tolerate this behavior"
WITH WEED IN THE CAR. wake the #### up, dude."we were about to give Josh 6 games, until he was caught speeding. The league cannot tolerate this behavior"
, ignore -- just don't fight it.This is becoming a lot like Ricky Williams' situation where it appeared he DGAF about the NFL.Stick a fork in him.
He'll never play another NFL down. He'll be playing in the CFL and then bankrupt within 8 years. It was good while it lasted, numb nuts.
This is the most likely outcome at this point. It's abundantly clear that he doesn't care at all. No way he stays clean for a year away from the team. What a shame. He'll never play another NFL down.
Absolutely not.Is that a violation of the program in itself?
Might make it a bit harder to claim 2nd hand smoke in the appeal, though. Come on dude -- he's clearly not willing / able to give up teh reefer. He's done.Absolutely not.Is that a violation of the program in itself?
Dude...your Idol J.Gordan is making you look really bad here...doesnt he care about his staunchest supporter????Absolutely not.Is that a violation of the program in itself?

Not to Josh Gordon's NFL career. We gloss over it, but the speeding was actually more dangerous than the weed.
Oh. Different story then.Im sure the Nfl is gonna charge him for a crime someone else had been charged forhis friend just held it for him, face it.
