that's a nice piece but does explain the constant idiotic behavior
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam expressed his disappointment with Josh Gordon's latest suspension, but said there's "no huge hurry" to release him.
Haslam added that Gordon is "immensely gifted" and that he hopes he can get his life together. Gordon isn't occupying any cap space right now, so the Browns don't have to make a decision on his future any time soon. Gordon is still only 23, so there's plenty of time for him to turn things around. Of course, he needs to prove he's grown up before the Browns even think about giving him another chance. Gordon can't even apply to be reinstated to the league until after the 2015 season.

The NFLPA has filed a non-injury grievance against the Browns for Josh Gordon's Week 17 suspension.
Gordon was suspended by the team for Week 17 after missing the Saturday walkthrough. The suspension had far-reaching consequences for him, as it meant he only played five games during the 2014 season -- and therefore didn't accrue a year toward free agency. This grievance will not have any effect on Gordon's 2015 status with the league -- he can't even apply to be reinstated until after the season.

Anyone else taking a chance on Gordon? I've been offered him for Moncrief.A 3rd is well worth the risk of him never playing again.Yes, assuming you have reasonably deep rosters. Most people are using a roster spot on someone with less potential than Gordon.I've been offered Gordon in my dynasty league for a 2016 3rd round rookie pick. He'd take up a roster spot all next year, doing nothing. Is he even worth that at this point?
One down, only 19 months to go!lolz, Gordon will need to get reinstated for this appeal to matter. IMO he isn't going to follow league rules long enough to get reinstated.

#Browns Haden said no one on the plane w/ Josh Gordon knew he was violating a rule. "We had no idea he couldn't drink.''
Gordon's the moron. I wouldn't expect any other players to know or care about Gordon's individual situation re: the substance abuse policy. It's not their job to babysit Gordon. And it's also total BS that Gordon himself didn't know. He either thought he'd get away with it or doesn't care.it's amazing these people are smart enough to tie their own shoes.
The start of the next league year he can apply for re-instatement.Can I get an update? When is the soonest he can be back in the league (and is he facing other issues)?
There is absolutely no chance that Gordon's agent failed to explain to him that he couldn't drink alcohol. That's the problem with people who have others handle all of their business for them. I'm sure he never actually read the terms of the suspension.
Josh Gordon and Terrelle Pryor are working out with Randy Moss at Moss's football academy this week.
We haven't heard much about Gordon since his indefinite suspension was handed down after last season, so it's good to hear he's still working on his craft in preparation for a hopeful return in 2017. Pryor, on the other hand, needs all the seasoning he can get as he attempts to make the transition from quarterback to receiver. Working out with one of the greatest receivers of all time can't hurt.

The Browns were hoping to know the outcome of Gordon's appeal by the time players report to training camp in three weeks.
The Browns did not draft a wide receiver in May, but added veteran free agents Nate Burleson, Andrew Hawkins, Miles Austin and Anthony Armstrong in the spring. They join a group that also includes two players, Charles Johnson and Travis Benjamin, who are recovering from ACL injuries.
What is this deflate gate thing that you speak of?did ya hear about that big deflate gate thing, faust?
