WR Justin Jefferson, MIN (2 Viewers)

Not terribly worried as there is a lot time to get right, however doesn’t help developing chemistry with McCarthy.
While true they have been playing together and working on things during otas and independently prior to this.

A point was made by Matthew Collier on his podcast that Sam Darnold didn't have a lot of reps with Jefferson prior week one last year and Jefferson had a big game right away anyways.

Jefferson makes things easier for a QB.

If there is one WR I have zero doubts about not needing to estaish chemistry, it's JJ. That said hamstrings can be worrying and take a while to heal. Hopefully he's over it come start of the season.

I worry more about re- injury. Once you go down the hammy road sometimes you stay on it for awhile. Those things can be a bigger nag than my wife.
Don’t sell yourself short judge, you’re a tremendous slouch
You'll have to explain that one.
Just forcing a Caddyshack reference

I agree with what you are saying about chemistry but at the upper levels where Jefferson gets drafted it does matter. We know Dak and Lamb have chemistry. Chase and Burrow are as locked as they get. Goff and Amon Ra have full faith in each other.

I have a little bit of anxiety about the hamstring. These pre-season injuries have burned us in the past.

But he's as talented as they come. He's had success with a bunch of no-name QB's. McCarthy should be better than the revolving door he had a few years ago.

I've moved him from #2 to #3. Hamstring plays a slight role. Dak to Lamb is a more proven commodity. And at this level, you're nitpicking.

This is what CMC was dealing with last year at
This time right? Hamstrings scare me off.
No. CMC was dealing with a “calf strain”. Which turned out to be because of bilateral Achilles tendinitis, with the pain point reportedly in the calf area.

The hamstring is on the back of the leg above the knee & runs up to the buttocks.

And I, you, boo.

Underdog NFL
HC O'Connell when asked if Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will practice this week:

"He's definitely going to hopefully start doing more and more. I can't say what that's going to look like from a practice standpoint yet."
Definitely hopefully? What the heck does that mean? Meaning there's no chance that they don't hope?
Wasn't that an Oasis album?

:oldunsure:

Did you even read that vomit?

This is just some bonehead reporter reaching for things to talk about.

If you’re short on time, please see my synopsis below:

- Justin Jefferson has hamstrings in his legs. The team doesn’t want him to hurt his hamstrings.

Wentz taking over. Big upgrade for JJ and entire offense.
I'd be trying to buy low on Hock right now.
I am not so sure on that. Wentz hasn't been good in awhile.

Agreed…also there is a 99% chance they go back to JJM when he is healthy…you want him getting up to speed ASAP and that is only happening by playing…JJM missing these games is not a positive long term thing for JJ.

Trade with NYG for Winston and JJ will finish with 1,700 yards.

Every fantasy yokel stuck with a great WR and suspect QB (see: me, Browning and Ja'Marr Chase) dreams of that team landing Winston to pump the WR's stats up. It's almost a comedy how much the fans want Jameis and the coaches just. do. not.

They run for the exits screaming when they hear he's in for a visit. LOL.

So what seems to be the problem with JJ this year? He's currently WR18, so just a middling WR2. He's not dominating, and he's not carrying his team. Had several chances on Sunday that he didn't come up with.
Not a good fit with the offense?
Addison is emerging as a true 1B?
He's discontent?
Some physical issue we don't know about?
Mental/emotional?
Something else?

He looks nothing like the JJ of the past 4 years.

QB & line issues IMO. My big concern is if JJM comes back & flops again.

The other thing is lack of TDs but regression says he’s due for a bushelful in the remainder of the season.

I thought of QB and line, but he's had those problems multiple times and prospered. Perhaps you're right and we'll see some positive regression, or return to form, from here on in.
