Was just able to grab him. Made a 2 for 1 trade for Kenneth Walker so I could grab Boutte as my 5th wr. Traded J Warren and Olave for essentially Walker and Boutte. Certainly risk with the Walker / Charb situation but they are an offense that will run, run, run. We’ll see how it works out.

Already made the mistake of starting M Golden again, so I'd have to bench Evans, Odunze or Metcalf to get him in. I could start him in a flex over either Kelce or Pitts. It is TE Premium.
Over Henderson, Jamo or Egbuka? Nah can't see it. He'll probably outscore J Taylor AND Achane but definitely not benching those guys.
Metcalf, McConkey, Coleman, Hollywood? Boutte over which one? I need to see another week of it first but even then not sure. Hollywood feels like the one to fade this week IDK.

Leaning George Pickens over... Boutte, Odunze and Pittman. Boutte is tempting with the Miami matchup, but the Giants matchup for Pickens looks equally good. Need to see more from Boutte before trusting him to start.
I may regret not starting Deebo on Thursday night. But felt his FBG's rankings were a little inflated based on week 1.

In one league I'm starting both Pickens and Boutte and in another one I have Boutte over Pickens.
I think Pickens could get a deep shot, but the Miami secondary matchup is hard to ignore for me.

Besides his TD and 1 catch so far. I'm thinking he was more of Maye's flavor of the week last week. Diggs is more involved as is Hooper. Only 1 target for Boutte so far. The TD is nice,but you can't count on those to save you each week.. and the Fins are a much worse D than Pats faced last week..
Don't think any receiver will be the alpha in this offense.

Disappointing when pedestrian production after the td would have sent his stock soaring. As nice as the catch was, it does nothing to dispell the narrative that he's going to struggle to get separation.
Did the injury factor in at all? The TD sort of saves the day in half ppr. If we get week 1 production next week, this game was a bridge and momentum is still rolling. If he follows this up with 3 for 30yds, I'm sure I'll be looking at other options.

Hmm .. I think his best asset, IS separation. He’s def not winning with athleticism - he wins with route running, and separation.
I didn’t watch the game. His low target was strange this week.
I’d like to hear from someone that actually watched the game

Week 2 he scores a TD, what am I missing?
Wide Receivers across the board are up n down mostly, 100 yds one week, 1 catch the next
JAMO had 2/108/TD, he's TD dependent as well
He's the starting X Wide Receiver for the Patriots with an up and coming young QB, better days ahead this season
And he was a waiver wire pick up for many

You’re missing that he went from 8 targets last week, to 1 target this week. Granted he made that target count, but that’s not ideal if you’re hoping for him to become the go-to target for Maye. Go-to WR’s don’t get just 1 target all game when healthy. The bar should be a little higher for a player you are hoping will return value, either as a flex option or a tradeable asset.
The narrative was Boutte was on the upswing after his previous two games against the Bills and the Raiders game last week. This performance cooled things down a bit, though if anyone was desperate enough to start him at least it wasn’t a goose egg. But as I said earlier there are going to be spike weeks from multiple Pats WRs this season and likely to be high variance. Jamo is on the extreme end of that spectrum. He’s low volume but explosive. Boutte at this point lacks explosiveness but has performed very well when he gets 7+ targets (which so far is only the three aforementioned games).

Fair lol, though I’ll still contend Brown has shown quite a bit more as a player than Boutte has, so I’d be more confident in a Brown turnaround. Boutte is a solid player but I’d be surprised if he produces consistently enough to be trusted in fantasy. Hope I’m wrong as I have him stashed in one league and a breakout would benefit my favorite NFL team. But I wouldn’t want to start him in fantasy, not yet at least.

Most likely still starting him - over Doubs and Mims, but am considering plugging in Benson, and particularly intrigued by Chris Rodriguez as a last minute fill in this week.

Boutte will get 3-4 targets this week. I wouldn't treat him as anything more than a wr 3 /flex. Pats won't have a true wr#1.

Felt like they were trying to get the ball to Diggs. I often don’t get it when it comes to offensive football, I’m sure there are reasons. Boutte looks ready to fly & Maye needs a WR1.

Did not watch, but I'd guess that Miami was sending bracket coverage Boutte's way, and that Maye is not ready to force feed him. That should loosen up in coming weeks if they continue looking elsewhere, probably starting this week after just one target last.

Yet here he is still getting the most snaps each week so far and they're playing Buffalo where I assume they will have to throw a lot. I'm desperate in a couple spots. IDK seems like this could be a bounce back game.

I feel the same. I do wonder if his shoulder lingered after he hurt it week one. Tough to throw him in at this point, but there are worse dart throws.
