WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey, DEN (1 Viewer)

Saints placed WR Tre'Quan Smith on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

New Orleans also put DB Ken Crawley on IR. Without Smith, Lil'Jordan Humphrey will have to step up as the WR2 behind Marquez Callaway. Alvin Kamara also figures to post a monstrous target share, as he did last season in Michael Thomas' absence. Jameis Winston will have his work cut out for him against the Packers given the state of this receiving corps.

Patriots signed WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey, formerly of the Saints, to a one-year contract.

Humphrey had only appeared in eight games prior to the 2021 season. An uptick in injuries to the Saints' receiving room thrust him into a larger role. He was active for 10 games, four of which were starts, and caught 13 passes for 249 yards and two scores. Humphrey proved to be a capable deep threat and WR4. Though he isn't guaranteed a roster spot in New England, his successful 2021 campaign plus a good training camp could earn him a seat on the team's final 53-man squad.
